Overall it worked for us as we find it difficult to rent places that allow a dog over 25lbs. I was told I would receive the check in information on Friday afternoon. We still didn’t have it on Saturday when we were about 3 hours from the 4pm check in time. When I called the message said they were closed and that it was Christmas vacations for staff. I did panic a bit, VRBO was able to get ahold of someone and then the code was sent. The house is clean to sight, but don’t look to closely. It really needs a thorough cleaning. I understand it’s a beach house, but finding used body soap bar in one shower, and the amount of dirt and dust on the railing of the mattress in the master was bad. We never went downstairs to that room, it was just the two of us. The master bathroom toilet was leaking in front of the bowl which is probably the wax seal has cracked. The ice maker is not working and when I looked at the area where the ice comes out you could see mold. As I said, this place needs a thorough cleaning, the baseboards are awful. If you are planning to use the fenced in yard for your dog, bring booties for them. This is the beach and the burrs in the yard are bad. This property is listed for sale, so maybe that is why the cleaning has been a bit lax. The location to beach is great, and there are a bunch of shops and places to eat close by.
