Sandtrap 7 is a three bedroom, two bath unit that sleeps up to 10 people. It is located on the upper level of a duplex, and is part of a larger property made up of ten individual cottages. You can rent just one cottage, or if you have a larger group such as a church group getaway or golfing retreat, you can rent all ten. This home is less than 100 yards from the beach, so you can spend your days soaking up the sun, sand, and surf. You can also have plenty of fun on the basketball and volleyball courts, and cool off in the swimming pool. This unit has four televisions, free wireless internet, and tasteful, light colored decorations. Complete with ceramic tiles and hardwood floors, you will have all the comforts of home, including a barbeque grill. This unit fills up fast, so make your reservation early, and get ready to come to North Myrtle Beach and experience all that the Grand Strand has to offer.

Good place

Convenient to the beach and everything else. We parked our vehicle and rented a golf cart to travel around Myrtle Beach and Cherry Grove. The cottage was nice and just as described.

Great get away

The property was as listed. It was clean and spacious for our family of 9, a dog, and two cockatiels. Whew! We went down for my dad’s 87th bday on Thanksgiving weekend . It’s been yrs since we had a vacation together so it was nice to feel at home in a house together as opposed to a hotel. There was always hot water which is important when 9 people have to take showers. The table was able to fit all of us for thanksgiving dinner. The wifi password did not work but who doesn’t have unlimited data so that was not a problem for us. The beach was a 5 minute walk and it was as beautiful as expected. The kids were able to play outside with the different balls that were available like basketball, volleyball, and soccer. We weren’t able to use the pool due to the weather but it looked clean and inviting. The rules were common nothing crazy more like regular house rules. It was a very successful trip and i would definitely recommend this unit and book again. Thank you!!

Great place close to the beach!

We had a great time at Sandtrap 7! Loved the proximity to the pool, beach and to shops & restaurants on Main St. My only complaint is that some of the photos on the VRBO listing were for the downstairs unit, not for unit 7. We were confused about the amount of space and layout of the unit. I don’t think it is clear which photos were upstairs and which were in the downstairs unit. I understand they are rented together at times, but it would be nice if they were labeled more clearly. Despite the surprise of not getting the space as we saw it in the photos, we still were very happy with the unit and very comfortable in the space. And Jeanne answered all our questions promptly and thoroughly!

Decent place

We had a night where someone parked in our parking spot and I tried to call the oncall property manager but never heard back from them. I had to park blocks away because there was no overnight parking lots around. I wish they left information on what to do if something like that happens. Another issue we had is for about 2 days the toilet didn’t have any water. When I spoke to the property manager she said it’s because they were filling the pool. Kind of odd that the toilet would not run when this happened. It was a big inconvenience because both time was after breakfast. Having to drive to the store just to use the rest during this time was not fun. I kind of wished they did something to make it right for us instead of just an apology both days. Overall the place was good enough. Just gave us a bit of a bitter taste in our mouth after the issues.

Clean and Comfortable

This rental was clean and comfortable. We loved that it was so close to the beach and that we were able to have our puppy along with us for his first trip to the beach. The maintenance guy, Chris was super friendly and told us he’d be there if we needed anything (which we didn’t).

Really Good Location

The location is perfect. Easy access to anywhere that you need to drive and less than 5 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of space on the inside but know as a duplex you will hear every time the other unit opens a door. The pol was great too.

Nice place and nice location

The place was nice and the location in North Myrtle Beach was good. Short walk to beach, included pool, basketball, and volleyball on site. Little tough with 10 people but it was vacation and we enjoyed it. Good areas for our dogs to walk.

Apologies in advance for the long review - the location was great with only a short walk to the beach/local restaurants but unfortunately our long weekend stay turned into a nightmare when I woke up to bed bug bites covering my body the Sunday morning we checked out. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom attached to the back porch. I was in shock after all of our years traveling together; we have never encountered an ordeal like this before. We bagged up any linens and clothing that had been on the bed and threw them in the trash to avoid the chance of bringing bed bugs into our home. I took photos and videos of the bites and of the bed as we could see both live and dead bugs when we woke up that morning. As the office is closed on Sunday, I sent an email asking them to give me a call once they were back in the office Monday morning as we had noticed a major problem that I wanted to bring to their attention. I feared for future houseguests checking into the property going through a similar experience as our family went through. Once home, we left our suitcases outside all day in the sun. As we brought items into the house we took them directly to the washing machine. We were completely disgusted and in utter disbelief. I had not heard anything by 11am Monday from the Retreat Myrtle Beach office staff so I gave them a call. There was no answer so I left a voicemail and received a call back about 1130am. I walked through everything that had happened in detail even stating that I had taken photos and videos from when we woke up in horror that Sunday morning. They were nonchalant (asking only did we leave the back door open when sleeping and was I sure that they were bed bug bites), unapologetic (stating that I was the first person to bring this to their attention, which I would certainly hope this had not been previously mentioned and not addressed), and took zero accountability (simply stating that they would get someone out there to see what they were dealing with). My husband and I both had to visit the doctor after returning home, resulting in multiple medications being prescribed to treat the bites. I never heard anything further from the rental agency and could not be more disappointed with their unprofessional manner and lack of ownership addressing this unfortunate incident.

Great short fall stay.

Enjoyed the home very much. Sim[;e and met our needs for a long weekend to visit our daughter. Great location. Great set up. Spacious rooms and great set up. Loved the outdoor deck off of master bedroom. A couple of comfy chairs would have been nice, though. Very nice and mostly clean...I don't think the floors have been cleaned for a very long time. Our feet were black and sandy from not wearing shoes inside. Kitchen could use some wine glasses and a baking sheet. Also a few more floor mats at doors and in kitchen. Didn't get to use the outside facilities this time, but looked like a nice family set up.

Great Location

The property was in an awesome location and easy access to the beach. It's surrounded by other properties under the same management. If you're looking for serenity, this might not be the place for you as you're surrounded by neighbors who may be rowdy or may be quiet. Roll of the dice. The management office was wonderful (Jeanne)--VERY responsive and very human. We did encounter an issue and they responded immediately and with alternatives.

Great location!

Really enjoyed our stay. Whole family and our dog stayed. Make sure you bring mattress covers and comforters as well as sheets, not all covers were clean. The mattresses are very bouncy, not firm. You'll need to bring bath mats also and there was only 1 bathroom with a trashcan. The master bath is a stand up shower only, very small, fyi. Water pressure was good, all things needed in kitchen were there. Location is GREAT! Walking distance to the beach, a carnival area and they have a nice pool, laundry room (only $1 - $1.50 a load). Any problem was promptly taken care of by Chris.
