Amazing 7 Br house with inground pool.

White Bear is a 2-story house with a BEAUTIFUL PRIVATE POOL! There's 7 bedrooms, outdoor seating, eat-in kithcne dining area, and a grill (charcoal). There are 2 front porches and a large paved area on the back of the house. After a beach day and cool pool dip, enjoy evening breezes in the rocking chairs of the covered upstairs porch. Any and all outdoor pools are open April through September, they are NOT HEATED. Sorry, POOL CANNOT BE HEATED.

Plenty of parking and motorcycles/trailers are allowed. Parking capacity varies based on size of vehicles or additional trailers, but generally, 6 cars would fit in the driveway/grassy back side of the house. It's just steps to the beach, but also a great option to rent a local golf-cart and enjoy cruising around with the kids or grandparents, to get ice cream, or the neighborhood park. Within a few blocks you will easily find mini-golf, restaurants, bars, beach stores, ice cream shops, downtown Main Street, local marinas and local parks.

*Please Note - reservation requires minimum age of 25. Groups must consists of half adults over the age of 25. Adults must be present on property from arrival date to departure date, to supervise and accept responsibility for group

This 5000 square foot home has a downstairs kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are on multi-levels, w/ an interior stairway joining the two floors.
The interior offers a fully-equipped kitchen, making meals a great family experience. Full sized washer & dryer in the walk-in laundry room. Just steps out the front door and the beach is across Ocean Blvd. to the white sandy shores. White Bear is a wonderful private oasis with everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable and memorable stay.

Great week at Myrtle

Having the pool to at the house was great. The location within North Myrtle was very convenient...walk to the beach, private enough, close in driving to all attractions. Very nice house to spend the week at Myrtle.

Problems

Pool wasn’t clean when we got there, red ants were all over the pool area & out front where we parked our vehicles. The ice maker did not work so we had to buy bagged ice all week long. Don’t sit outside at night on the bottom floor, a family member of mine was shot in the eye buy a pellet gun when a vehicle drove by. Emergency services & law enforcement were involved.

2021 vacation

We had a wonderful stay even though we had couple of major issues. They were addressed immediately. The staff was helpful patient and friendly. The house and pool were everything we needed for a great family vacation.

Great location

This is a nice house in a great location. It is a very short walk across the street to the beach, where we spent almost every evening. They could do a better job of cleaning and changing the shower curtains. If you are a bigger person, the toilets are tough to sit down on. Overall we had a great week there with family and friends.

White Bear Furnishings

The pool was great but the flies around the pool were annoying. The access to the beach was great! For a house that sleeps 19, there should be a refrigerator upstairs and downstairs. Each bedroom and bathroom should have a trash can. There was no bathroom counterspace, just a sink. Bedrooms didn't have nightstands with lamps and the blinds didn't reach the bottom of the windows. Most bedrooms didn't have a dresser with a mirror. The den lacked side tables, lamps and chairs. The house did accommodate our large crowd but the furnishings could be greatly improved. The kitchen had plenty of cups, glasses, plates, bowls, silverware and pots and pans. There needed to be a few more kitchen utensils. We enjoyed our stay but will probably not rent it again next year.

This property was absolutely perfect... the pool was such a savior with have 8 kids between the age of 7 months to 12 years of age ... walking distance to the beach and upper deck was a great way to end a very busy day

If you’re looking for a modern beach house, keep looking - this is not the place!

Our problems started upon arrival when we arrived to a dirty house (interior floors had debris all over, kitchen countertops were dirty, appliances were sticky and not wiped down) . The rental company, Owner Direction Vacation Rentals, was fabulous to work with, very apologetic and had someone there within 20 minutes. We walked the property with the cleaning crew and they took care of things that should have been done before we arrived. Pool area was also in bad shape and had to be cleaned (pool cleaned/scrubbed, patio blown out, trash picked up, picnic table in back had black sticky stuff all over it). I was informed that there was a storm the night before and someone should have taken care of this prior to check-in. While it was advertised as recently renovated, it’s still an old beach house. It does have nice granite countertops in the kitchen/island area, newer flooring, but had older appliances (reported that oven didn’t work during stay) and refrigerator had rust spots over the front. Restrooms were small with old sinks/tubs with NO counter space at all! The downstairs had little or no storage and I had to purchase hangers for the entire house because there were only a few in each closet. A beach house with no beach supplies (towels, chairs, umbrella). Only two bathrooms with waste baskets. One small dumpster for a house that accommodates so many - trash overflowing by trash day(s). At the beach with sand everywhere and there was not even a vacuum cleaner only a broom. One small capacity washer/dryer for 19 people just didn’t do it... Upon returning from dinner one night, the smoke detector on the bottom floor was going off and the battery had to be removed before it stopped. Upon checking the detector upstairs, there was not even a battery in it. And here’s the best one, on Wednesday evening, someone was taking a shower on the second floor and water started leaking into the bathroom on the first floor. Not just a trickle, but like it was raining! We soaked up the water with towels, called ODVR and they offered to send someone out that night, but we declined since it was after 9:00 pm and we had small children in bed already. The repairman did come the next morning and caulked the shower and instructed us to not use it for two days – this was a HUGE inconvenience!! The positive - it is right across the street from the beach!
