Check in and check out time is strictly enforced, no lee way at all. We were called at 3:52pm, despite being told around 1:30pm that our room should be ready soon. On check out, we needed two trips to the car. After coming back to pick up our remaining items shortly after 10am, our belongings that were on the bed had been moved to the counter and the beds stripped. Parking is free, but inconvenient, in a parking deck across the road. The studio apartment is slightly dated, clean, enough space, kitchenette with silverware, plates and glasses and reasonably priced. Paper towel, dish soap, dish cloth and a sponge are provided and one has to clean and pack away dishes before leaving. Bar fridge and microwave included. The balcony really is way too small for more than one person and has a view of the next building and an AC 'farm'. Ice machines on certain floors, unsanitary due to having a scoop inside of the machine for guests to scoop. This is a huge no-no in any given time, but especially during a pandemic! The hall ways are in need of maintenance. Two restaurants on site, bar outside and Italian Ice stand. Despite the confirmation email stating that face masks are required at the establishment, masks are not enforced and majority of guests were not wearing masks inside the building and ignored the notice of one party per elevator. Several times we got out of the elevator because maskless guests would get onto the elevator with us. There are no lifeguards or security personnel at the pool to enforce the pool rules. We had an issue with a family whose children were jumping into the pool and splashing us as we sat next to the pool. Definitely not a do over for us. It is worth paying more for a higher end hotel, where the experience is about making guests feel welcome and safe.
