The room overall was nice and updated with plenty of space for our family of 3. The pool and gym were both clean and we appreciated the location. However, we immediately had issues that made us decide not to stay next year when we visit. First, we arrived on a Thursday when it was 90 degrees outside. We were looking forward to using the pool, which was advertised as being open 7 days/week. When we checked in, the pool was closed and we were told that we required a reservation 24 hours in advance for it to be opened during the week. There was no mention of this on the website or in the check instruction email (otherwise we would have made the reservation!). It was extremely frustrating. We then found chunks of black mold on the couch, which sits underneath a mini-split cooling system. This unit was clearly in need of cleaning, as it continued to blow out mold throughout our stay (the ones in the bedrooms did as well). Not feeling comfortable hanging out in the couch with the air conditioning (during a hot, muggy couple of days) was annoying. It also seemed odd that we had to take the trash out ourselves upon check out, or risk a $50 fee. Haven’t had this type of rule anywhere aside from an Airbnb. There was also only one bottle of soap in the unit (2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen). All in all, it appeared nice initially but these issues impacted our stay.
