"Nice decent hotel… somehow breakfast was worse than other holiday inn express’"

"We made a trip this way to visit Cedar Point. This was a very clean family friendly hotel. We stayed three nights with two adults and three kids (15,13,11). Kids enjoyed the breakfast and large spacious rooms. The beds were comfortable and it was a great experience overall. We are returning at the end of the month to visit Cedar Point again and currently finalizing the dates and thinking of booking this hotel again as we had a great stay !"

"The property was very dirty We stayed in room 230. On our last night there we found a cockroach in the bathroom. The staff was non-chalant about it and just refunded 1 night of our 3 night stay. The trash was overflowing outside every night. The pool and hot tub were really dirty. Stay somewhere else. This place is disgusting!"

I had 2 large screen TV perfectly mounted. One for the bedroom area, and another one in the couch area. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with selection and quality. "Beautiful place along Lake Erie. Love that it's in the water. Fun bar next door. Lots of places to walk or benches/swings to sit and enjoy the views. The sunset in the swimming cove was lovely. Nickel Beach down the road was nice ($7 parking) and cleaner than the beach by the hotel. Plenty of places to eat in Sandusky which is 11 minutes away. Typical breakfast, clean room and extremely comfy beds. Worth the stop!"

No cons but due to location near water and woods like setting do not leave food out! You will get ants. The top loft has a low ceiling but there were 2 queens and 2 TVs in separate areas up there. "Perfect location. Some of the front desk staff were unable to help us when we wanted to stay another day, but when we called the reservations line, it was easily taken care of. Any time we called down for an item, it was brought very quickly."

The only unfavorable issue was that every time I needed to return to the room I needed to go back to the front desk and get the card rekeyed for my room. Given that I’m over a certain age, my prostate really doesn’t allow me to wait very long."
