The woman at the front desk was the worst customer service hotel person I have experienced in over 40yrs of hotel stays. She told my kids and I to check out at 7pm at night, because she could not fix our tv after an hour and said she had no other rooms (when 5 more rooms were showing as available on Expedia). She was rude from the moment I checked in, never even said hello, or even looked at us or welcomed us. Because I tried to change the channel on the TV manually since I did not want my kids to watch an inappropriate show (that she left the tv stuck on) while she was gone for a long time, she came back and told me she could not help me because I 'touched the tv!' Her response when entering our room for the 3rd time to fix the tv was, the kids and I should check out and find another hotel. This was after I had paid for the 'nonrefundable' room.
My kids and I travel all over the country from tennis tournaments/ training and we travel the world often. We are in VA beach constantly. We are elite and diamond Marriot and Hilton members. Made this big mistake of booking a Wyndham hotel on a whim. Never again - and shame on Expedia for even promoting them to me. Expecting a mother to find a new hotel with her two young kids (who trained all day) at 7pm at night, makes this hotel employee (Amanda I think her name is), a cold-hearted person that has no place in the customer service industry. Expedia should not promote this hotel
