"Sauberes, modernes Zimmer. Toller Blick auf Akureyri. In wenigen Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in der Stadt + die grandiose Waldlagune liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Frühstück war absolut ausreichend. Wir wurden nett empfangen und nett verabschiedet- haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt."

"4 Sterne Hotel, aber die Zimmer wurden nicht täglich morgens gereinigt. Haare waren noch von den Vorbewohnern in der Dusche, Beschwerden wurden weg gelächelt. Die Fenster waren so dreckig, dass man nicht hinaus sehen konnte. Elektrokabel hingen aus der Wand, der Fernseher hatte keine Fernbedienung, die Zimmer sind so klein, dass man von vorne ins Bett springen muss, der Frühstücksraum erinnert an einen Mastbetrieb, keine Atmosphäre etc."

"The hotel was lovely only issue I had was the washbasin for the bathroom was in the main bedroom area and the shower & toilet were behind an opaque glass door. Also when using the shower water wasnt contained in the shower area meaning toilet was surrounded by water. Hotel situated on a crossroads opposite the towns swimming pool. Excellent choice of items for breakfast. Plenty of parking."

"Very spacious and clean with a lot of amenities. It had tons of character, but the floors squeak a bit and some doors cannot close without locking. Nothing unexpected for a historical property. Very nice stay!"

"Overall nice hotel. But no parking. Need to park the car in the city park. The hotel has 2 separated building. In one building, it doesn’t have wifi signal at all. A bit noise outside."

"The property is located in the downtown area. Close walk to all the external restaurants and shopping. The beds were way too soft. It felt like you were sleeping on a bag of marshmallows. The pillows were so thin you had to fold it in half to make it work. And if you wanted another one it was 500 Islandic Kronos extra per pillow. The scrambled eggs and beans at breakfast buffet were cold."

"We were there for two nights, and the first night was OK. Noisy location, with people yelling on the street right in front of the hotel until 1:00, during our second night at the hotel. Then heavy machinery started operating on the street at 6:30, during one hour. Earplugs made no difference. The same night around 22:00, there was a fire alarm, that made us go downstairs to evacuate the building. On the first floor at the bar and restaurant also serving as the hotel reception, life continued...

"Nice hotel, location is about 3-4 minutes outside Akureyri but you get a great view of the city and the mountain that inspired the logo, from the parking lot at least. The rooms are clean with about average space and comfortable beds and good blackout curtains. Breakfast is NOT included with the room rate and must be purchased beforehand, but the dining room has a microwave, fridge, and sink open to guests. Self check-in, and we didn't see any staff on site on our one-night stay but you are...
