Could not be more charming!

The pictures of this property left me with high expectations. Those expectations were exceeded. The apartment is so special, so charmingly decorated, so cozy (but not small). The location is perfect - right in the middle of the boutiques and old architecture, without being a tourist center, such as St.-Paul. Must be able to navigate steps. The view from the balcony is incredible. I cannot say enough to recommend this apartment.

Fabulous apartment-quaint village without the St Paul-de-Vence crowds.

We loved this beautiful, apartment in the village of Violettes,--Tourrettes-sur-Loup. It was amazing. It has it's own lovely entry right off of the main street of the medieval town (for walking only). As you enter, there is a huge living room filled with comfortable furniture and fascinating original art everywhere! Outside the living room is the small balcony with 2 comfortable chairs, a small table and gorgeous views to the sea and the surrounding hills. Off the living room there are stairs that go down and a short flight that goes up. It is 5 steep steps up to the small, but well appointed kitchen with a dishwasher, stove top, oven, small refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker (with pods for espresso), electric water pot, and a tea pot--& more. Behind the kitchen is the second bathroom with shower, washer, drying rack, toilet, sink and more storage. The stairs going down are not as steep, and lead to the beautiful bedroom. It is finished in white, and shaped with a rounded ceiling,--like a large cave. It has a marvelous larger than queen size bed, built in lights, two windows--one with a screen (unusual in France), a fan, a lovely little wardrobe, and more original art . From there, once again, there are 4 fairly steep stairs that go up to the gorgeous bathroom--once again, carved in white like a large cave with a beautiful shower, great storage for your things, lots of big fluffy towels, various expensive toiletries, and the best hair dryer I have ever used. This apartment is gorgeous! It is well furnished and supplied. It is ever so comfortable, so we made ourselves at home and relaxed, read, listened to music, cooked a little and enjoyed the views. There are a few mosquitoes in the hills above Nice, so bring a mosquito spray. I bought a citronella body spray and a plug in thing that protected a room. Then, I sprayed the citronella a little on my ankles and a bit around the doors. That worked pretty well. I have had 2 hip & knee replacements, and though the stairs were steep, I managed fine. Tourrettes and the apartment have steps and stairs, so know what YOUR body can handle. Finally, I need to say something about Patricia, the owner. She is wonderful--truly a delightful woman, and one who upon meeting, makes you feel like you've been friends for years. Thank you so much, Patricia. We will never forget Tourrettes-sur-Loup, and we will always keep you and your kindness in our hearts.

Absolutely gorgeous

Fantastic apartment nestled into the walls of this fabulous hill top village with views across the gorge and down to Antibes and the Med. The apartment was filled with art and beautifully furnished with antique and modern furniture and lovely objects. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom very luxurious. There were Fragonard perfume samples to enjoy and some other perfumes as well. There were plenty of socket outlets! With mobile phones etc. It was a treat to have enough sockets - these are usually in short supply in France and never where you need them. We spent a wonderful week and found ourselves often just sitting on the balcony taking in the sunrise or sunset. The wild boar rustled and bustled in the gorge one morning and the jays chattered. Tourette is a lovely and real village. (St. Paul de Vence appears to have been completely over touristed). Staying in Patricia's fabulous apartment was a tremendous privilege. The housekeeper, Mathilde, was incredibly helpful and available. The appartment was spotlessly clean.
