  • Life is sweet here in Niagara-on-the-Lake! Sweet reTreat (previously known as Sweet Escape) is a renovated, historic cottage, less than a block to Queen Street and close to everything Niagara-on-the-Lake has to offer from restaurants, theatre, wineries, and shopping. Prices are subject to change daily.



    -2 Bedrooms – 1 Queen bed and 1 full bed

    -1.5 Bathrooms – Walk-in shower

    -Hosts up to 4 guests (including infants and children)

    -Private parking for up to 2 vehicles, contactless check in

    -2 gas fireplaces, central heating, and air conditioning

    -High speed WiFi and TV with access to streaming services



    The queen bedroom has a gas fireplace with ensuite privilege to the family bathroom with walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a double bed. There is an additional powder room on the main floor.



    The main floor foyer opens to a relaxing living area where friends and family can gather, sit, and relax with a gas fireplace. There is a desk as well in case you must work while on holiday.



    The large kitchen is well equipped to serve up your morning coffee and favourite recipes (check out the Sweet reTreat Cookbook at the cottage for some great recipes - and add your own):



    -Drip-coffee maker and kettle with enough coffee, tea, and sugar to get you started

    -Stove, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher

    -Dishes, pots and pans, silverware and glasses (including wine glasses)

    -Non-stick spray, paper towels, dish soap, tea towels, dish cloths

    -Salt and pepper



    Or walk a few buildings down to Queen Street for bakeries, restaurants, theatres, and shopping.

    Enjoy an evening glass of local wine on the private back patio. The back deck is equipped with a gas BBQ/grill. Or enjoy the enclosed sunroom with lounge chairs.



    Laundry is on site supplied with:



    -Laundry soap, stain remover and dryer sheets



    Bedding, towels, hair dryer, facial and toilet tissue, shampoo, and hand soap are also provided.



    Take a short walk to Queen’s Royal Park and the famous Niagara-on-the-Lake gazebo to check out the waterfront, rent a kayak or watch the sunset with great views of Fort Niagara. Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club is only 2 blocks away. Niagara Falls is just a short drive away along the scenic Niagara River Parkway.

Perfect house for us. Great location, close to restaurants, theatres and vineyards...excellent tasting rooms and didn't need reservations . Would stay here again and recommend to others. Off street parking is super. Kitchen is well equipped and living room perfect...beds are very comfortable.

At the time of booking it was stated that there was cable. Unfortunately, the new owners decided it was too expensive and discontinued it without notifying us. The managing company said we could log into our accounts and stream. This was not acceptable we wanted to watch a hockey playoff game. If we knew this, we would have booked a local hotel for a lot less money. We have stayed in several rentals over the years, and we can see pride of ownership by little touches. Although clean, we felt the home lacked those little touches.

We enjoyed the home. Beautiful, historic quaint, and well appointed. We especially enjoy location which is less than a block from the downtown Main Street with shops and restaurants.

Perfect location and so cute

This house is centrally located in the Niagara on the Lake area an close to Niagara falls. Well furnished, comfortable beds, would stay again in a hear beat!
