Nightmare Hotel
The photographs on the hotel . Com web site must be old. The hotel has completely run down, as soon as you walk into reception you can smell damp. Carpets throughout the hotel are well worn and stained /dirty.. The carpet in our room was frayed under the door and I tripped and caught my foot when entering the room. The bathroom tiles were chipped and they had holes where other bathroom things had been on the wall the shower curtain kept falling down it was only held up with the wrong sized screw. Paint flaking off the pipes under the bathroom wash basin. The toilet roll holder was high like something you would find in a gents urinal in a factory. Toilet roll was horrible.
Bath was chipped. Shower had no water pressure it either was too hot or too cold.
No wardrobe space. Door on the balcony wouldn’t lock properly.
The ivy on the outside of the hotel was overgrown and covering the windows in the restaurant so much that it was growing on the inside coming through the window pains.
The indoor swimming was out of order didn’t look like photo, outdoor pool was filthy, the bowling games room was disgusting completely run down used as a storage area
Not in use.
The toaster wasn’t working properly so there was a queue and when you ordered for example a poached egg by the time you got toast your egg was cold????
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The views from the room was really good.
Would recommend a complete refurb or knocking the hotel down good location.
