  • Welcome to our charming 1940's cottage located in Newport’s historic Point District! This delightful home is perfect for both families and their furry friends. Pets stay free, with no additional pet fees, and all breeds and weights are welcome. Woof!
    Step into the inviting living room, where a decorative non-working fireplace adds a touch of charm. Above it, you'll find a 42-inch flat-screen TV, perfect for cozy movie nights. Each bedroom is equipped with its own TV and built-in DVD player, ensuring everyone has their own entertainment space. All TVs come with Roku live TV channels, and the high-speed internet and Wi-Fi are ready for all your favorite streaming services. For music lovers, there's a Bose iPod docking station for high-quality listening.
    The large, fenced-in backyard is ideal for both family gatherings and pets to play. Enjoy a night out on the town while leaving your pets in a comfortable, home-like environment. Located just two blocks from the water and a waterfront dog park, this cottage offers easy access to a boat ramp and is a short walk to Newport's fabulous restaurants and shops. Despite being in a quiet neighborhood, you're just minutes away from all the fun and excitement Newport has to offer. Take a walk to swim off Van Zandt pier, stroll along the seafront with your pet, or simply enjoy the rich history of Newport, RI.
    Hosted by Kathy & Ed, our goal is to offer a pet-friendly home that serves as a B&B alternative. We are owner-occupied as required by Newport, and we've designed our space to give you privacy with the house and both yards. The garage and driveway are reserved for the owner, but we provide one on-street parking pass for guests. We do not take instant bookings because we want to ensure clear communication before confirming your stay.

The place was spotless and charming! Very peaceful and lovely neighborhood but walkable to town. The best of both worlds. Hosts were very receptive and clear w all instructions and easy to contact at all times. Highly recommend this home for a stay in Newport!

Our two small dogs enjoyed the yard. We enjoyed the neighborhood quietness and closeness to town. First time in Newport and would love to be back!

A charming cottage that was a good fit for us and our two dogs and gave us a chance to explore the Newport area. Kathy was very responsive and attentive to questions and comments.A lovely area with an easy walk to the water with a beautiful view.Highly recommend Belle's at the shipyard a few blocks away. Good food, good view and you can sit on the pier with your dogs.

Home had a wonderful fenced in yard and is perfect for pets! It is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the downtown and wharf areas with restaurants and shopping. The host is extremely responsive and helpful and provided thorough instructions on check-in/check-out which went very smoothly. Would recommend this home to pet owners especially!

Cozy cottage with a fantastic location! Walking distance to town, and just a few minutes' drive to the Navy Base where we needed to be over the weekend. The fenced-in yard was perfect for our two pups to explore and spend time outside safely.

Weekend Getaway

A friend and I got away for the weekend and it was a perfect stay for us! The property was clean and cozy, we had a wonderful time with plenty of relaxation and rest!

We had a lovely time staying here! The back yard is large and well fenced and was perfect for our dogs. The front yard is also fenced, which is an added bonus as we didn't have to worry about our dogs running out the front door. The property was clean and welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. We are already talking about returning here in the summer. The host was also great about communication. 5 stars all around!

Kathy was a super helpful and communicative host. The house is great-charming, authentic to the town, clean, great location, cute neighborhood, really great yard for dog. We had a fantastic stay.

We had a great stay at Point Cottage. It was a perfect haven for my husband and me and our dogs. It’s in an adorable and quiet neighborhood less than a mile walk north of downtown, so quite convenient. The large fenced in backyard was clutch. The house is cozy and true to New England style. Our host Kathy was super accommodating and responsive. Can’t wait to stay here again!

First time in Newport

The location was perfect for strolls into town for shopping and dining. Our French bulldogs enjoyed running in the fenced yard as we sipped coffee on the patio.

Cute house in great location

We loved the cottage and neighborhood. We brought our little dog so the fenced in yard was perfect. We couldn't have picked a better spot for our end of summer getaway in beautiful Newport!
