"A great location on an island with lots of things to do and explore. The cabin provided everything we needed for our family getaway, but if I was being honest the mattresses on all the beds left a lot to be desired and didn’t provide the best of nights sleep. A few bits of the cabin could do with updating, but overall I would definitely recommend it."

"We had a fabulous 3 night mid-week stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were attentive and really friendly and the food in the restaurant was exquisite. We had intended to find other places to eat during our stay but the food was so good here there was absolutely no point. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes"

Accommodating our travels. Our Labrador went he had a beautiful time who is nearly 8 years old. The staff are so friendly towards Noah. I did not personally love the layout of the rooms especially in terms of plugs, as these could be difficult to find (even behind someone's head on the bed headboard), however this is a very tiny thing and generally speaking everything went well and was easy.
