Mountain Gem

My girls and their boyfriends had a 1 day school ski trip with PECHS to Sugar Mountain NC. We live a little over 5 hours away. I figured it would be a great opportunity to bond with the kids and continue the fun over the weekend. This is the first time renting a Vrbo property and let me tell you this place is a little gem. I felt so at home during our busy short trip with my family. I really believe it is due to the charming vintage & modern mixture. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and cooking equiqment, there is also a grill and outdoor fire pit table. The rest of the home is well stocked with little things that you might have forgotten to pack. My favorite amenity though as a stressed momma is the tile shower that never gets cold omg I could have lived in there the whole trip lol. The property is also very close to restraunts/shopping/skiing /attractions. I cant wait to book again and didn't want to leave so soon.

Cozy stay at Linville Land Harbor

This home was easy to find and my expectations. Clearly recently updated. Comfortable beds. Extremely clean. Well stocked kitchen. Delightful outdoor patio. There was a little difficulty getting into the unit initially, but after about 30 minutes, the property manager corrected the entry code and we were able to get into the home. Community has lots of activities, however, it seems that Pickle ball and Tennis courts are locked unless you have a code or membership

Home away from home

We were very pleased with this home. It was well stocked and very clean. We felt very welcomed and so enjoyed sitting on the porch. The weather was a little warm and we needed some AC in the bedroom but we managed. Also be aware there are 6 steps down to the bed and bath rooms. We definitely recommend this home. Neighbors are a little close in this community but it was in a very convenient location for us. Thank you to the host who was very timely in answering our questions!

Perfect

Everything was absolutely perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. Plenty of towels. Comfortable bed and living areas. Great fireplace and amazing deck off the kitchen. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Mountain getaway

The hosts instructions were very detailed and helpful making our trip very simple and convenient. The house was nice and cozy and only 15-30 minutes away from most of the attractions.

Nice quaint cabin in a bit crowded neighborhood. Winter, so did not use the various Land Harbor amenities. Cabin is refurbished moderately well and was nice. Lots of detail was put into making sure cabin had everything needed. Maintenance could be better. Several bulbs out, icy stairs when we arrived, outlets not working in either bathroom, clocks not set... just little things that maintenance should care for. Never-less, it was nice and met our family needs.

Enjoyed our stay, great Wi-Fi too.

We came for a conference which required us to do some work remotely from the house. The Wi-Fi was excellent (over 50mbps). The house was well appointed and centrally located to area attractions (hiking) which saved us time getting around for activities. The house is in a residential area so it's not as quiet as some places might be ( a barking dog woke us up a couple nights). The house has a nice porch, and a good layout indoors which made our stay relaxing.

Heads up

I truly do not like leaving negative reviews but I felt led to - in case others experience what we did. We have given the owners plenty of time to appropriately resolve our stay in an honorable way which has not happened and refuse to respond to myself or my husband. The owners left out or did not inform us appropriately about using the communities facilities - which was a main reason we chose this place so we could get out with our family and have fun not just stay inside the whole time. Upon attempting to use the facilities we ran into rude, uppity, unkind, unhelpful and even discriminatory members of the community and staff. If I had known key important information and the way "renters" are treated by this community I would have never booked this place. I truly hope things change in the community and the owners decide to rectify this. Its about doing the right thing!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

I've stayed in lots of rentals and this was one of the best! The house is unbelievablely well stocked and located. We had friends and family staying in other houses in the community and everyone wanted to hang out at this one becuase it was so perfect! Everytime we thought of something we needed, it was there! The covered porch and fire pit were amazing. I will definitely stay here again!

Fabulous home!

The host has created a beautifully decorated very comfortable vacation home! His on site manager was extremely helpful, talented, and always on time to help make our stay most enjoyable. I would most highly recommend this home for a most comfortable vacation in the mountains!

Great month-long stay

Husband and I "worked from home" in this nice and cozy updated home. Accurately pictured, vaulted ceilings gave it spacious feel. Kitchen is really big with a useful side bar. Loved strolling the neighborhood trails and golf cart paths. Unfortunately all community activities were seasonally closed so we could not play tennis, golf, and kayak like we hoped - but still had a nice stay. The nearby Pineola Inn was fun for music, beer/wine and the Italian Restaurant has great pizza. Linville winery also a fun experience after hiking the Falls trail. Yummy trout at the Tin Trout in Crossnore.

Great place

This property was perfect for our family of 3. The location was great for skiing at Sugar Mtn. It's in a community that feels very clean and safe. The property itself appeared to be recently updated and was very clean. It had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

We loved it!

From the time we arrived we absolutely loved the place. Great communication with the owners and so very clean. The layout of the home was perfect for my spouse and I and our two kids. Great location as well! We would defiantly stay here again.

Well maintained property!

The property is well maintained, very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. While the property does not have a yard for kids to play in, there are several areas in the community to play, hike, and walk by the lake.
