"It was close to the station. Oddly, there was no indication of where to find reception as you walked towards the hotel. We had to walk all the way around with heavy cases on a very hot day to discover the entrance. A simple sign would have helped. The room was pretty good. Breakfast adequate but not great. One teabag per person per day seems pretty mean as policy. Toilet paper ran out; we had to ask for more. Shouldn’t really have to…"

It is right across the street from the Newcastle train and metro station, which gives easy access to many beautiful places near Newcastle (e.g., Tynemouth, Durham, etc.). "A lovely welcome from the lady on reception and super helpful. The room was spacious with everything you need and we had a lovely view across the river. Only downside was the bathroom. The shower was very old and you needed to run it for quite a while before it ran hot, wasting a lot of water. I would stay again"
