"I have to admit that, in my case, I didn’t enjoy at all. Staff is so inflexible, I was in a business trip. Impossible to get a cold sandwich after 9pm (arrived at 9:07) no other options in town except an Indian. The hotel is pet friendly which I like but for the rest not an option for me. A pity because I was expecting something different. The rooms are fine but too many steps and a bit caotic "

"Loved the pub and Simon was super helpful. Best nights sleep ever in the best bed with lovely soft pillows. Food very good, especially breakfast (full Yorkshire breakfast) overall such great find. Highly recommended. Very dog friendly and lovely atmosphere."

"Ideally placed in the centre of Knaresborough, we were welcomed warmly. The room was lovely with a generous bathroom attached. Plenty of teabags, coffee and hot chocolate sachets and fresh milk was kept in a small fridge. The chocolate was a nice touch alongside the complementary biscuits. It was very quiet and the breakfast was delicious. We will certainly visit again. "

"Loads of choice from fresh fruit and yogurt to full English. What stood out the most tho was the staff. Never have we been anywhere with such nice friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Spot on! "

"What a gem - in quiet village - our go to place to stay to visit Designer Outlet and York city the next day - staff extremely welcoming and helpful - cosy country atmosphere -our second stay and will be going back to try the super menu for Sunday lunch - thanks team for making our stays so perfect every time !!!"

"Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way . Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery. So glad we had booked as they were turning people away ! The staff were excellent- friendly , courteous and attentive. Lovely relaxing night away , helped by the English heatwave ."
