Welcome to Santos Family Farm Retreat, an upscale one-bedroom apartment nestled on a working organic farm in the heart of Oregon’s Yamhill-Carlton wine country. Surrounded by 80 rolling acres and panoramic views of the picturesque Chehalem Valley, this charming escape offers the perfect setting for a peaceful, rejuvenating getaway for couples looking to relax and reconnect with nature.

The retreat is perched above the farm with newly renovated interiors and breathtaking vistas of lush vineyards, pastoral farmland, and forested hills. Inside, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed space featuring modern comforts, rustic charm, and all the amenities you need for a cozy stay.

As guests of Santos Family Farm, you’re invited to experience life on a certified organic farm, where we grow a vibrant mix of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, and raise happy animals with care. You're welcome to join us for a walk through the growing fields where you might meet our dwarf goats, flocks of chickens and ducks, and our friendly livestock guardian dogs, Sampson and Delilah. You may even spot a cow or two grazing in the distance.

Expect a truly authentic countryside experience—from the occasional call of coyotes at night to the cheerful crowing of a rooster in the morning. You’ll catch glimpses of daily farm life, from early morning harvests to loading up for the local farmer’s market.

Whether you're sipping wine on the porch while taking in the valley views or strolling through the farm at sunset, the Santos Family Farm Retreat promises a tranquil and memorable stay immersed in the best of Oregon wine country living.

Special Information:

The apartment occupies ~900 square feet on the entire upper floor of our farm store building.
The working farm area is away from the apartment property.
The store hours are limited to Friday through Sunday from 11 – 5.

Cell service varies by carrier.
You may use the internet as support for calling.

The security camera is on the storefront which is on the opposite side of the building from the apartment entrance.

Due to the property being in a working farm, seasonal elder bugs may be apparent. They do not bite or cause harm, but may gather in large groups depending on the time of year.

I arrived on an early fall afternoon. The farm was quiet, at the end of what I imagine was a busy weekend. It ended up being a very peaceful stay after what had been an active week. Just what I needed.The guest quarters have a stunning view, and it was so relaxing to just sit and look out at the rolling hills. did a few wine tastings and cooked myself some dinner with veggies from the farmers market I stopped at enroute. The kitchen had everything I needed.All in all, a really lovely stay.

We did enjoy the accommodations and the location was perfect for what we needed. The host had provided all common everyday appliances and table/cookware we needed. However, when I made the reservation over a month ago, I found out that I needed to check out a day earlier due to needing to stay closer to the airport in Portland. The only flight I could get left at 4:30 am and the drive from the property to the airport is over an hour. I reached out to the management team and explained my situation. They were very unsympathetic and told me that they were not willing to make any changes because I contacted them closer to 30 hours after making the reservation and their time limit for changes was 24 hours, even though the reservation was for over a month in the future. I am not sure the listing clearly stated the 24 hour cutoff. But I did leave a day early before 10:00 am (the expected checkout time). I did pay for that night (even though we did not sleep there) since they would not accomodate my request to change the end date of our reservation and i also had to pay for a hotel room near the airport.

Absolutely beautiful property. It felt like being in the Italian countryside. Check-in was easy and thoughtful. Kitchen was spotless and looked brand new. All the pots/pans we needed and good quality. The owners have paid attention to the small details that create beauty and comfort. We will definitely return to this spot!

The property is beautiful. The place looks brand new inside. Kitchen has all of the amenities expected and all appliances look brand new. The bathroom is very roomy with a large shower. The entire place is exceptionally clean. The views are dramatic. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway

Our stay at Santos Family Farm was absolutely amazing! . The property itself is a true gem—nestled in nature, it offered the perfect balance of comfort and charm. The house was spacious, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook meals and enjoy family time, and the living areas were perfect for relaxing after a day of outdoor adventures. We especially loved the porch and huge windows, where we enjoyed morning coffee and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The farm itself was a dream! We had the chance to meet some of the animals which was such a fun experience for the whole family. Communication with the hosts was seamless—they were incredibly helpful, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. If you're looking for a tranquil and unique retreat, I can't recommend Santos Family Farm enough! We’ll definitely be back. Will be booking this in the future for our getaways .

Relaxing getaway!

The Santos Family Farm exceeded all expectations. The pictures do not do the property justice. We were blown away by how clean and new everything was! The kitchen was beautifully appointed, with little extras like Extra Virgin Olive Oil and spices, as well as coffee (100% Columbian!) and a coffee maker. We had all the supplies needed to cook a wonderful meal. They even provided a lovely bottle of wine to enjoy! The bathrooms were spotless with the half-bath containing a washer and dryer with laundry detergent. Truly above and beyond! Oh, and the bed! So incredibly comfortable! The mattress and bed linens felt like we were sleeping on a cloud! The inside was truly impressive, but I must say that the property itself was so peaceful and gorgeous! We fed goats, watched the sheep graze, listened to the chickens and ducks carry on with their day, but my favorite was getting to hang out with Samson and Delilah, the two Great Pyrenees dogs onsite. They were both delightfully sweet and I was so happy to get some puppy love while on vacation. :) The location was perfect, with wineries all around, local farm stands for fresh produce and baked goods, and hiking and beaches within a couple hours' drive. We even popped into Portland for an evening dinner with friends. We have nothing but positive things to say about Santos Family Farm and will definitely be back!

Spacious accommodations with a view that is incredible

10.0 perfect score! This place is beautiful inside and out. The view is incredible and it was so quiet and peaceful. The location was great: close to stellar wine tasting, small grocery store in Yamhill, nice restaurants in Carlton, etc. We really enjoyed the spacious rooms, patios, and washer/dryer. We even bought some fresh eggs from the farm and made a lovely breakfast one morning. Parking is behind the building via a large circular drive. There are a few stairs, but you aren't going up an entire flight of stairs even though you are staying on the 2nd floor. It was easy to get luggage up because the stairs are wide. I would definitely re-book this location and recommend it.

Peaceful wine country stay

One of the nicest places we have stayed at on our 2024 summer travels. The setting is so quiet and beautiful. Coffee in the morning looking at the farm animals and parts of a vineyard (Beacon Hill) was so nice. The space was very roomy and newly remodeled. Very convenient to many wineries and restaurants in Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Truely a gem!!
