Premises have surveillance cameras, parking spot for 1 car, coin-operated washer and dryer machine for use. Is conveniently located close to restaurants, coffee shops, clubs, bars and mall outlet. Within 7 minutes walking distance to local train station and 1 minute distance to bus station to NYC. Only short 5 minutes drive to Newark Airport and 30 minutes from NYC.

I didn’t expect to spend as much time in the apartment while touring NYC, but plans changed and it ended up being the perfect haven. As other reviews mentioned, the apartment truly has everything you need. It’s surprisingly spacious for an attic unit, and the kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, a full-size refrigerator, and a microwave.I especially liked that the living room and bedroom each had their own thermostat. I was able to plug my Fire Stick into the bedroom TV with no issues (and didn’t even need the extension cord I brought). There was already a Fire Stick connected to the living room TV as well. The welcome snacks from the hosts were a very thoughtful touch.One tip: when entering the door code, some numbers may require pressing more than once until you hear the beep before moving to the next number. There are motion lights over the stairs and in the kitchen, which were helpful at night. Despite being close to the airport, I didn’t notice any plane noise, though earplugs are provided if needed.The apartment is very affordable, and I would highly recommend it if you’re in the area or need a place to stay before a flight. Just note that the driveway for the house is on the right side. I later realized I had accidentally been using the neighbor’s driveway to walk.

The place was great for visiting NY to see the Christmas lights and shows. Took public transportation from Newark airport which dropped us off at North Elizabeth station & we walked from there. Choice between bus & rail to get to New York City - bus stop was closer. Allow time for traffic especially if you have show tickets on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Short bus ride to the airport when we left - a different bus stop but dropped us at the terminal. The attic space was clean, a kitchen area for our limited cooking, comfy bed, and plenty of hot water to shower after a day of sightseeing. Not ideal for tall person - low ceilings but we are short so not a problem for us - high ceiling path ideal:) We appreciated the treats, water, & Christmas decor, and all the extras including a first aid kit (I used 2 large bandages & a couple of small bandages - walking from the station I managed to clip the edge of brick wall while walking.) We had a nice stay - thanks for having us.

This was a perfect stay over location for us when we were traveling between Europe and home, and wanted to spend an evening in NYC. The hosts were very communicative with clear check instructions, and a great location within 2 miles of Newark’s airport. I wish that we had more time to explore the surrounding area as there seemed like some great gems to discover. The cleanliness, thoughtful of appointments/bedding, etc. were all top notch. A few notes- the format of the survey made me rate a pool- I am not sure why as I did not see one and could not opt out. Also, the apartment is an attic setting, so there are angled ceilings that could be tough for really tall people… that said, I would return in a moment- great spot!!

Everything you need is provided and cannot find fault. Bus stop, 112, at end of road to Port Authority and North Elizabeth train station less than a 10 minute walk takes you to Penn Station. There is a supermarket next to the station. However, there are 31 steps up to the apartment and the stairs are steep and narrow. Also, if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs as the planes start overhead at 4.30am and the traffic at about the same time.

The place was as advertised—neat, clean, and meeting our priorities of safety and cleanliness. Although the stairs were a bit narrow and steep, they were still manageable, even with two bulky and heavy packages delivered before our trip. Maggy was quick to accommodate our needs, which made the stay more comfortable. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe and clean stay.

Great apartment!

We had a great experience staying here. The apartment was clean and the hosts even provided some water and snacks. Basically any amenity you could need is likely already there- an iron, extra towels/blankets, cleaning supplies, coffee and tea.As others mentioned, take note of the narrower stairs and sloped ceiling. Something I didn't see mentioned in other reviews was that there is a club somewhere nearby, I think across from the Exxon on Spring St? It's listed as a billiards place on Google Maps. All weekend, they were blasting music at night, although it was quieter on Sunday. While it wasn't terribly loud from the bedroom, I'd bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.Only three things we would change:1) Painting parking lines. There's not an obvious way to park; it's a bit of an odd setup. When you're tired from a roadtrip and stressed from driving in NJ traffic, you don't want to contemplate the best way to park. Parking lines would be an easy fix.2) A lamp in the living room. It's just a bit dark in there and we don't like using bright overhead lights.3) A note in the check-in instructions to push that little logo button at the top of the keypad before entering the front door code. It took us a couple of tries to figure that out.All of this being said, we had a great experience and would stay again :)

Great attic apartment a short walk to NJ Transit or North Elizabeth train station. Great to have off street parking & cooking facilities. Would stay here again anytime & stairs kept us fit so we could have a cake from Roc’s on the corner

Friendly hosts, good property!

We had a really nice stay at this place. The house was very clean and had everything we needed—there was nothing missing. We also loved the location; it’s in a quiet neighborhood but still super easy to get around and access the city. Even though it’s an attic apartment, it didn’t feel cramped or gloomy at all. Actually, it was quite cozy and had a nice vibe.Hosts were helpful and responsive before and during our stay, providing us with all the information we needed.Just a small note—staircase is quite narrow, so I’d say it’s not very accessible for people with mobility challenges.Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this place to other travelers.

My husband and I stayed for a few nights to take in the sites in New York, which is a 30-min bus ride from the bus stop right down the street. This apartment was perfect for us! It was very clean, cozy, and well-stocked with all essentials and little extras. The property owners were very helpful and responsive. We did have a time getting used to the lower ceiling (which is only one one side and atop the steps), but learned quickly after a few head-bumps, ;). Definitely would stay again if in the area.

Fantastic shower!

If you're looking for a nice stay, in a tight city, this is the place! My husband and I stayed for two nights and it was a very comfortable. For being in the middle of the city it was very quiet. The shower was the absolute highlight. The only downside was you'll hit your head on the A frame ceiling once in a while 😉

Awesome location! Perfect Place!

If you want a clean place in a safe neighborhood with easy access to the city, this is the place! The neighborhood was clean and I had no qualms walking to the house from the bus stop at midnight. It is truly a minute walk to the bus that is a straight shot into Manhattan to the Port Authority Station. From there you are a block from Time Square, and a short train ride to anywhere else in the city. The bed and couch were comfortable, the bathroom and kitchenette clean. The stairs are a little tight coming up with a suitcase, and you wouldn’t want to stay here if you are over say, 5ft 8” because it is an attic room and the ceilings are low, but for short people, this is perfect! The owners were very accommodating and responded fairly quickly. Thank you again for a great stay!

Amazing, adorable place with everything!

Maggy and Anibal have a fantastic rental! The attic apartment is adorable. It's probably the cleanest place I've stayed in my life, including hotels. It feels warm and inviting. Every item is folded and placed with care. I had more dishes and cooking utensils than I could ever need, including disposable plates! I even had some snacks provided. There are two TVs, one of which is in the bedroom, and the other being the biggest screen I've ever seen. It connects to your Netflix, Prime...whatever streaming services you want. There's a full range of cleaning products too, including paper towels. Other than buying food (and there's a grocery store 0.2 miles away), I didn't need to get anything while I was there. There were extra towels, a blanket...everything. The doors lock and unlock with a provided key code, so you can enter and leave as you please. Because this IS an attic apartment, there are a lot of stairs. They're also pretty narrow, which (if you're 350 lbs like me) can be a bit challenging. But it's absolutely worth it. Loved the place, loved the communication from the hosts...I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Charming attic apartment.

This was the perfect place for our weekend trip. The attic apartment was charming and a perfect size for a couple. Everything was clean, and the hosts were responsive and very helpful. The place was stocked with appropriate items needed to cook own meals if wanted, brew coffee, or relax and just order carry out. There are two window a/c units which keep the space adequately cooled in 90 degree plus heat. Very close to the airport, Newark, Red Bull Arena, etc. Amazing bakery (ROCs) just down the street and their breakfast and lunch is incredible. Would totally stay here again and hope we will in the near future.

Right by the Most Magical of Buses

We had no idea when we booked this, but just a few houses down is a bus stop for the New Jersey Transit 121 bus. After this stop, it makes one more stop a few blocks away on Dowd Street, and the stop after that is downtown Manhattan at the Port authority terminal, just a couple blocks fr! Wow!!!! It's kind of like having your own limo service, straight to New York City for just seven bucks! That was just one of many surprises regarding this cute little attic apartment. It was cozy, very private, and the layout made a lot of sense for us considering it is an attic apartment. My lady and I are both short, 5'6 and under, but I do think the apartment could cause some difficulty for people over 6 ft tall. I was really impressed with the neighborhood, a wonderful Cafe is just a few houses down, great Salvadoran and Portuguese. Lunch options nearby, and some great New York fried Chicken and gyros available late night, all just a block or two away. We were not bothered by the owner/host at all during our trip, and all of the equipment and amenities worked perfectly. The security system is simple and sensible, and there are room sized AC units at each end of the attic apartment that worked perfectly fine, even in the peak of Summer. The small kitchen area has two two modern electric burners and a good fume hood. The sink, toilet and shower were all in excellent order, and the little living area outside of the bedroom was a very cozy place for everybody to get together.

Perfect getaway!

This rental was adorable and was very accommodating. Super clean and located in a very cute neighborhood with lots of coffee shops and local restaurants nearby. Really conveniently located near to NYC too! Highly recommend and I would definitely rent this place again. Host was very respectful, pleasant and made sure everything was perfect and was always very responsive. Added to the love it list !!
