The studio itself was lovely and clean. It was an amazing location near Time Square! This was a huge perk for us as we did a lot in the area. Lots of great food around and near many of the broadway theaters! The only issue we found staying at this studio was that it lacked basic necessities. For example, no paper towels, no plates but it had bowls? No hand soap in the bathroom. We had to ask for more than two towels and for hand towels even though it was listed 5 people were staying, and one small thing too was the sink sponge was really yucky. The TV volume also didn’t work and when we asked about that and one of the futons on whether it folded down or not, both questions went completely ignored, but the host answered one of the other questions I had about more toilet paper, they also took almost 24 hours to respond to the message. So just a few little random things, but overall I would definitely stay there again for the price, cleanliness, and location. I just wish I would have known about the lack of basics ahead of time I guess.

Great location, light on amenities Excellent location. Less than a 15 minute walk from the Empire State Building, Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Grand Central Station, the NY Public Library, and Whole Foods. Very light on amenities. The minimum of toilet paper (2 rolls) and shower towels (3), no paper towels, tissues, napkins, coffee filters or coffee. Barest of utensils and plates. There was no hot water when we arrived. A call to maintenance provided hot water but it took a good 5 minutes of running the shower to get it hot. But the space was very nice with a king bed and a pull-out couch/ futon for our son to sleep on. Access was easy and WiFi was good. Just a few more amenities and hot water would have gotten this a 5.

The location was great; so close to lots of tourist spots.The place was nice and clean. However, it was lacking a few essentials. There were no knives. There were no towels in the kitchen, paper nor terry cloth. We were given no hand towels and only one wash cloth for three people. Although not considered an essential, a few hooks would have been helpful for hanging towels.

The location is amazing for sight seeing. The host was quick with responses and the room was neat and tidy. I visited right after a winter blizzard, so the temperatures were quite low and there was no hot water in the kitchen or bathroom. In complaining to the host, they sent facilities next day, but the issue wasn't fixed. Except the hot water issue the stay was pleasant.

Well, the place is (mostly) as advertised. The location is excellent, and the room space is just as quaint appearing as in the photos – but there were several areas where it ran short of expectations.The Kitchen. Although you can see from the pictures that this is very limited, so you generally know what you’re getting into, but there were still some surprise shortcomings. For example: There’s a mere hot plate – but OK, I can make some omelets in the morning, a little bacon, right? No. Although there is a single pot and pan, there are NO UTENSILS. Not a spatula or wooden spoon to be found. This is OK though, since there are no plates to eat from in any case, and no knives to cut with. I did make an attempt to wash the few dishes we used, but while there was a sponge and dish soap there was not a single dishtowel to set things on or clean with, and no drying rack. Also a prior tenant apparently attempted to ‘unscrew’ the corkscrew – so even that was useless for opening a bottle of wine…Speaking of towels: Two towels were in the room, for two adults for a four day stay. They did bring up some additional towels on request, but this was only marginally helpful because in addition to the small size and minimal utility of the bath (which at least, again, you knew going in from the pictures) there was NO HOT WATER. It wasn’t actually frozen, but more like bathing directly in the Pacific Ocean – perhaps 65F. The rapid ‘Navy Shower’ was the order of the day…

The location of this apartment is great, the large room is beautiful, and we had a very good time staying there. But it isn't what I consider a "luxury" apartment--only a few towels, no washcloths, no coffee filters for the coffee maker, and inconsistent hot water in the shower.

Voor aankomst code van buitendeur en deur van het appartement gekregen, waardoor we meteen naar binnen konden. Het appartement is ruim en ligt op een geweldige locatie midden in New York. Wij hadden het appartement voor 4 personen geboekt, echter er waren maar lakens, dekens en handdoeken voor 2 personen. Pas na enkele uren kregen we contact met de eigenaar en werden er ‘s avonds laat nog een paar dekens (zonder lakens) gebracht. Een dag later kregen we een paar lakens en extra handdoeken. De banken waar op geslapen kan/moet worden als je met meer dan 2 personen in het appartement verblijft, zijn niet erg comfortabel. De douche heeft een matige waterdruk, maar wellicht is dat normaal als je op de 12e verdieping zit? De keuken was erg beperkt uitgerust. Er zijn slechts een paar glazen, borden en bakjes.

Although not "luxurious", the apartment was charming. It was clean, the windows were a real treat, and it was convenient to all we wanted to do. However, we stayed during the winter only to find the air conditioner on....we were freezing! There were multiple controllers available but no instructions for use. We finally connected with a maintenance man on the last day. Luckily we spent most of our days sightseeing. The code we were given for the outside door to enter the building never worked. Lucky for us that someone was always going in or out. The kitchen supplies were meager...no coffee cups but a coffee and tea pot were there. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night's sleep.....love NYC!

Positives: Location, price, ease of access, letting us have late check out. Negatives: cleanliness (there was hair on the wall in the shower, kitchen sponge had gross stuff on it- could have been replaced), lack of sheets/linens for couch beds, lack of hand towels for kitchen and drying stuff, the only utensils were spoons. No plates. The host was awful at communicating. It took them hours to respond to questions. Ultimately, if you want a place with great location, this is it. But if half your party wants a good night’s sleep, then don’t stay here. Also don’t plan on eating there. Not much to eat with or on.

Exactly as pictured and described in listing! This apartment was lovely!! It was so conveniently located near the things we had planned! My 5th trip to NY and the first trip I didn't have 15,000 steps walking each day AND we had minimal subway use. The building was safe with locked front door access and staffed with a front desk attendant. There was free on-site luggage storage for before and after check-in if needed, which was also a huge benefit to us. The check-in/check-out process was easy and we didn’t get 100 emails/contracts leading up the trip. This is going in my "saved" folder and I will absolutely plan future trips around the availability of another room in this building!!

The location was perfect for seeing all the NYC sites. Our biggest complaint was the lack of basic household items. There were no plates, Kleenex, coffee, wash cloths, or kitchen towels. There were very few hand towels, cups, mugs, bed linens, and towels. Also, temperature control was a challenge.

We loved this historic building! The design details were gorgeous! We loved how close we were to 5th Avenue, the theatres and Times Square. The only negatives was the bathtub should have had a slip resistant pad as it was slippery when we showered. And the paper towel roll was almost out. But it was really an excellent place to stay and would highly recommend!

Location can’t be beat! A 10-minute walk to (our group had two seniors) Times Square, great restaurants and coffee shops, a leisurely 20 minute stroll to Central Park and the surrounding sights i.e., the Plaza Hotel, Rockefeller Center, Frick House, MoMA etc. We took a cab to Gershwin theatre but that could be walked to as well.The loft offered plenty of space for 4 adults, the electronic blinds were a lifesaver as this city never sleeps .

Starts off pretty bad. It’s after the check-in time and the entrance code doesn’t unlock the door. So I call and then text the owner and get no response. Another resident gives me the correct code and we finally get in. The first thing you notice is how dirty the windows are the floor mats are disgusting. Then notice there is only one roll of Toilet paper, no hand towels or wash rags or even paper towels and no tissues no coffee no tea. So, a part of our vacay is spent hiking to whole food for basic items that all rentals and hotels have. Then over the evening we learn there are 5 tv controllers and 4 of them do nothing and there is an overhead light we can’t turn off. Again I leave a message for the owner and get no response. Finally be advised the shower/tub is slippery as if it were oiled and the plumbing to the sink is reversed. Should I go on? There is no ice machine in the building and conveniently the are no ice trays provided for the freezer. So a week without ice. There are open live wires above the sink! And the exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn’t work; so anything you or your partner does in the bathroom will waft throughout the apartment. Also it rained one night and both window leaked water puddles on the floor. Great location though. The red flame diner is a fantastic breakfast place.

Super cute loft, comfy bed, and amazing location. The sofa beds/futons for our kids weren’t the most comfortable, but teens can sleep anywhere. Bryant Park subway station is close and makes it easy to get wherever you want to go.
