The home was very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked which came in handy for our family meals. There was plenty of silverware and plates-a plus!We enjoyed the grounds as well. We were outside at night and enjoyed the peaceful property.Communication with the owner was excellent. We felt at home.

The absolute best home we have ever rented for so many reasons. Stunning grounds , horses to enjoy , goats to meet , fire pit , gazebo by the pool ., etc . Most importantly, the historic farm home was incredibly beautiful and accommodating, with exquisite country decor .Very large with room enough for our big family. Kids enjoyed exploring the amazing property..Host provided everything that you would need , including a beautiful welcome basket of goodies. Hosts were amazing and entire rental process was perfect. We hated to leave but will definitely rent again.

I would stay at a home like this anyday! We had great weather but didnt use the pool... So we would love to return next summer! My grandchildren enjoyed it so much, they would love to live in Pennsylvania !

The property was absolutely beautiful. House was very spacious and the decor was very nice. The host was very accomodating and made us feel like family. Even bought my wife a birthday cake for her 60th. Requested additional towels and it was not an issue. We cannot thank our host for the great hospitality.

We celebrated my dad’s Bday here. It had space to be together and to take breaks apart. Perfect place with great screened in porch and outdoor seating. Loved it!

The Perfect Place

The house at Shallow Brook Farm was perfect for our family; in town for my son’s wedding. Super clean, plenty of space in a quiet country setting. The owners were super responsive to any questions. Everything worked fabulous and we all had a fantastic stay!

A Stay Near Lancaster

The hostess was kind, considerate, and gracious. The property is gorgeous and comfortable. And the pool was a big hit with the grandchildren. It was so enjoyable we are considering requesting a two week stay next summer.

Absolutely Amazing

Our stay was wonderful. The property owners were super responsive and provided detailed information from the booking until checkout. The communications were very friendly and welcoming. The property is just spectacular. We were blown away with how beautifully the house was maintained both inside and outside. The property was fully ready with everything anyone could possibly need. It was like staying at home but better! The owners provided great resources and guides as well. They thought of everything. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. We absolutely recommend this property for a peaceful beautiful getaway!

Amazing Stay!!

We LOVED our 3 night stay at this property. We were there celebrating my husband's birthday with friends and family and I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The home has everything you could need to cook and share a meal. I made guacamole one evening and went looking the the kitchen drawers for a lemon/lime juicer and found one! Was not expecting the property to be so well stocked, but it was definitely appreciated by everyone. The home was clean and comfortable and tucked away in a quaint country location (watch out for those Amish buggies at night, haha!). I loved that there was enough room for all of us to sleep comfortably (4 bedrooms plus the basement had a pull out couch). We made use of the firepit and were very thankful the owners had firewood on-hand, fire starters, and even s'more sticks for the kiddos to use. I loved sipping coffee each morning while looking out front windows to see the horses be let out for the day. The kiddos LOVED the playing on the outdoor swings and checking out the creek at the back of the property. Communication before our stay with the owners was great. We didn't need anything while we were there but I know they would have been responsive if we did. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a gorgeous, low-key place to relax and hang out with friends and family. I can definitely see myself coming back here, especially in the summer to also enjoy the pool.

Spacious and Peaceful

We had an amazing stay in Wanda's farmhouse. The house was very spacious and our kids especially loved the basement area where they could play games and the beautiful backyard where they played and had an Easter egg hunt. My husband needed to do a little bit of work while we were there and found the office perfect for his needs. We couldn't get enough of waking up to the peaceful sounds of the creek nearby, the birds chirping, and watching the horses in the pasture as well as buggies go by. Our kids will never forget that! The hostess had left a welcome basket with coffee and snacks as well as a very comprehensive guidebook to the house and area. There were plenty of cooking utensils and two large tables inside for family meals. The area is very quiet, yet close to a few grocery stores and the farmhouse was a great home base from which to explore Lancaster and Hershey. We had a restful and peaceful getaway and would love to return soon!

Amazing getaway!

My group of 12 - from an infant to grandparents and all ages in between - had an incredible time here. Lyndsay was extremely helpful ahead of time, answering all my questions practically immediately. The house was beautiful and spacious, with a lovely kitchen and a dining room where we could all sit together. The pool was phenomenal (one small tip - the bottom is concrete, so if your kiddos have sensitive feet, consider bringing water shoes). We loved having a shaded area to sit in while the kids were playing. The sunroom got a ton of use - the kids were in there any time they weren’t in the pool, and the grownups liked it too, especially during the cooler mornings and evenings. We were already talking about another trip for next year before we left! Can’t recommend this property enough!

Family vacation

The vacation home was perfect for a large family group vacation. The spacious kitchen was one of our favorite rooms to gather and share conversations, while preparing meals. Of course all enjoyed the pool! When we had some rainy days, everyone seemed to find things to do; enjoying arts and crafts in the sun porch, playing games at the extra large dining table or just relaxing with family in the living room and family room. We definitely give this vacation family farm house a 5 STAR rating.

Wedding visit

This property is amazing. It is exactly as described, but better. Photos do not do it justice. All the small decor touches makes it feel like home. Everyone we had contact with were very nice and helpful. We traveled there to attend a wedding, but if we ever have the need for lodging in that area again we will be sure to book this home again. This house was the perfect place to celebrate a family Christmas with my adult children. The kitchen was exactly the right size for a casual breakfast and prep space for making Italian gravy, and the huge dining room table was the site of our games, dinner and gift exchange. We loved seeing the horses and thoroughly enjoyed the rural quiet of the farm. Thank you to the hosts for leaving all their holiday decorations up for us!

Great place to relax and enjoy family time

This farm is in the perfect location out in the country but not far from restaurants, grocery stores and CVS. The house was perfect for 3 couples and a 3 year old; kitchen is fully stocked and there's plenty of room for everyone to relax, read, watch TV or play games. Wanda and Lyndsay are wonderful hosts always available to answer any question we had. Thank you both! We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again. If you just arrive and need a place to have breakfast or lunch BrickHouse Coffee & Kitchen is great very close to the farm. And for the best pretzels visit Countryside Roadstand just a few miles away.

Holiday Retreat

We had an amazing time once again staying here. We stayed here right before Christmas & the house was beautifully decorated like it popped out of a Hallmark movie. We love this house so much and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
