A generous foyer welcomes you inside, where two living spaces, a formal dining area and a rustic-style kitchen await. Brimming with character, the living quarters boast stylish furnishings and warmth from the open fireplace.

French doors expand your living space onto tranquil decking. Equipped with outdoor seating and a hot outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach, this secluded setting offers peace and privacy, overlooking the surrounding bushland.

This two-storey holiday home comprises three upstairs bedrooms. A variety of bedding configurations will suit families and friends, while central heating throughout will ensure a restful night's sleep. A full-size bathroom, separate toilet and laundry complete this comfortable set-up.

This established site provides the security of off-street parking and a carport, while this central location means you're just moments from all New Plymouth has on offer.

The city centre is only four minutes by car or a 20-minute stroll, where you can appreciate an array of shops, cafes and restaurants. Explore the stunning Coastal Walkway or the picturesque grounds of nearby Pukekura Park.

Venture beyond to find Taranaki's black sand beaches and the Mount Taranaki snow.

Pohutukawa House is a historic holiday home ready to host you in central New Plymouth!
Please note this property has unfenced access to a large expanse of bush and a nearby pond. It is essential that guests take personal responsibility for the safety of their group in and around the bush area adjacent to the property. While the property welcomes pets, it isn't fully fenced so pet owners need to keep an eye on their pets at all times. Please note that the sofa bed in bedroom four may not be suitable for an adult.Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.Please note that if parking space will be used, park on the road, then go down the path beside the house.There is enough space for 2 cars in the carport but guests must always exit the property driving forwards (no backing out) as this is a Council requirement. Guest may pull on to the lawn by the park bench to turn around inside the property.Please note that the property's Heating is be turned off mid-Nov to mid-March. If you require this to be turned on please let us know.

Lovely Stay at Pohutukawa House

We enjoyed our three-day stay at Pohutukawa House in New Plymouth. The house was clean, well-furnished, and had a great selection of books and games. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the outdoor space, including a trampoline and a spacious lawn, was a nice bonus. Off-street parking was also convenient.One thing to note: the heating turns off over summer, so if you're visiting during cooler mornings, it’s worth checking in advance.Overall, a comfortable and well-set-up place to stay.
