Welcome to our 3 bed, 2.5 bath freshly renovated 70's chalet, a modern retreat just 5 minutes from downtown New Paltz. Nestled for privacy, this beautifully designed getaway offers the perfect blend of comfort and privacy. With convenient access to main attractions, our chalet is an ideal escape. We're 3 min away from the Brooklyn Cider House and a quick drive to local farms, hiking trails, vineyards and restaurants.
The space
Discover the Hudson Valley in this sunlit a-frame with scenic floor-to-ceiling windows in the common area. The living/dining area opens to the deck, which has outdoor seating and BBQ grill. There’s also a fire pit in front of the home, perfect for making s’mores and listening to music with friends.

We have high-speed internet and 2 work desks if you’re working remote. We also have a baby crib if you’re traveling with little ones.

Two queen-sized bedrooms on the first floor share one cozy bathroom with a standing shower. The main king-sized bedroom is upstairs, with its own private balcony & breathtaking views of the mountains & 5+ acres of land on our property. It has a private bathroom with a tub and double vanity sink.

The spacious downstairs basement provides extra sleeping options, sleeping 2 additional people, with a comfortable couch + queen air mattress. There is also a 1/2 bathroom conveniently located downstairs.
Guest access
You will have access to the house and its surrounding 5 acre property. We have a trail in the back of the home that leads to a private pond. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with the best kitchen appliances including a dishwasher, blenders, juicer, air fryer, mixer, drip coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, and a variety of high-end cookware.

We include practical items like iron, steamer, hairdryer, towels, soap, toilet paper, shampoos, conditioners, and lotions. The entire house is at your disposal, excluding the owner's garage/unfinished basement area, which is under renovations.

Note: The private trail is not completely paved and you may encounter deers and other wildlife while wandering.
Other things to note
Our home offers a great balance of privacy —please note that neighbors homes are visible. However, they are far enough where you won’t be interacting with them. Think peaceful retreat versus isolated hideaway.

Enjoy the convenience of a 5-minute drive to Main Street New Paltz, local shops, SUNY New Paltz, and the NYS Thruway. Explore nearby attractions like Mohonk Mountain, Minnewaska State Park, and the Hudson & Wallkill Valley Rail Trail. New Paltz boasts public swimming pools, and the Walkway Over the Hudson is just 15 minutes away. From hiking and biking to wineries and farmer's markets, our location is a gateway to a number of activities.

Wildlife:
We live on 5+ acres of land, surrounded by a lot of trees. Wildlife is present. This might include beavers, deers, racoons, snakes, bears and insects. We do have screens on the windows and doors but insects will still be entering the space no matter how much we want to keep them out. Keep all windows and outside doors closed to ensure a peaceful coexistence with nature.
