Central 2br Downtown Pad by the Quarter

Summary:
Located on the St. Charles Streetcar line, this home is just two blocks from the intersection of Canal and Bourbon streets in the heart of downtown New Orleans. Designed to have a modern feel in an important historic building, this unit is walking distance to everything in the French Quarter, Warehouse District and Central Business District — and located directly on the streetcar line that can take you just about everywhere else. Plus, there's a roof deck and a gym!

The Space:
This apartment is as close as you can get to the French Quarter while still being able to maintain peace and quiet while you are trying to sleep. There is also a fantastic roof deck!

Our home is walking distance from world-renowned restaurants, Mardi-Gras parade routes, The Riverwalk, and tourist attractions such as Bourbon St., Jackson Square and The French Market. Guests are only 5 blocks from the Mercedes Benz Superdome and Arena, and 6 blocks from Harrah's Casino. Take a short uber/taxi ride to The Convention Center. This location beats any place we've ever stayed in NOLA. It is so central whether you are there for a convention, for a concert, a game, or to party on Bourbon. You are in the safest place with the cleanest street, and only steps away from the action!

When you walk in to this modern loft, you will be greeted by tall windows across the entire back of the condo. Immediately to your right will be the first queen bedroom, that has access to the hall full bath. This room has two locking doors for the most privacy in the condo. Further down the hall, you will find the living area, with mid-century furniture, large LED television, and an open concept kitchen. Adjacent to the living area is the other two bedroom, one king. The king bedroom has access to another full bath. This bedroom off the living area are separated by sliding, translucent walls that can close off or open up, according to your preference Each room has its own large LED television, and all lights, including lamps, can be controlled with the wall switch. This two bedroom unit sleeps 4 adults comfortably. With so much open space and yet so much privacy, you are sure to enjoy this condo experience with friends and family.


You can walk to get dinner in the quarter, and go to the bars after, and walk back home! You can walk to a game at the Superdome. You can walk to the store or to get groceries. Pretty much everything you will need is in walking distance, this unit is in the middle of it all, but still a quiet getaway.

PROPERTY AMENITIES:
Please keep in mind that as our guest you are free to use any available amenities, however the building management reserves the right to control access to those amenities.

All amenities are located on the 5th floor. There is an outside lounge/deck with a grill, a small indoor lounge area, and a small area with fitness equipment. The hot tub is broken and not included in the listing or rental.

We ask that you respect any posted rules and specific hours. If we are notified of any disrespectful behavior, it will probably result in the termination of your stay without a refund. And a reminder, NO PARTIES anywhere on the property and quiet time is 10pm until 8am.

The Neighborhood:
Union Lofts is located in the "CBD" or Central Business District. Two blocks away is Canal St. Once you cross Canal, what was once Carondelet St. is now Bourbon St. You are that close! So enjoy the clean, quiet street of your condo, yet just a few blocks away you can enjoy the party vibe of Bourbon St., and/or dine at any of the fantastic French Quarter restaurants. If you wish to venture further than walking distance, I highly recommend using Uber or the St. Charles streetcar that runs in front of the condo during the day.

Getting Around:
The St. Charles streetcar runs in front of the condo, and tickets can be purchased online or from the conductor. This is one of the hidden gems of this location. FYI, no change is given so have exact, if possible. Ubers are all over the city and can be very helpful in getting you near or far at a very reasonable price. Taxis are available but can be more pricey. Pedicabs are bicycles pedaled by locals and can be convenient and entertaining ride, yet it is not a cheaper route. There is some pay-to-park along the street of the building and a few parking garages on each block. Most guests will never need their vehicle once they arrive here.

Other Things to Note:
The building is historic, and guests are expected to be respectful of the building and its rich history.

Provided in Kitchen: Dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, some cooking supplies, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, light bulbs, and dish soap.

Provided in Bathrooms: Bath and hand towels, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and one hair dryer. Extra supplies may be found in lower cabinets or supply closets.

Provided in Bedrooms: Linens, comforter, and blanket. Linens for both roll away beds will be available in the large supply closet.

Provided in Laundry: Laundry soap, dryer sheets, stain remover spray, clothes iron, and ironing board.

*Extra supplies may be found in lower cabinets or supply closet. Locked cabinets or closets are for maintenance and/or cleaning crew only.

Interaction with Guests:
I will let guests enjoy New Orleans on their own but if you need me I will be there in a second!

I have never felt more welcomed to a rental or hotel than I was by this host. The host’s communication was exceptionally good. Nice Place to Stay on a Budget

Great location to walk to the French Quarter and to hop on the street car to get further in the city!A few things to consider: - The street car travels directly below the windows of the unit and is noisy throughout the day (and night). - There are limited cookware/bakeware available if you are planning on cooking full meals. - This may sound silly, but the light switches, mirrors, and cabinets are a bit taller than standard and some of our party had difficulties reaching glassware in the upper cupboards.The host was very responsive with any questions we had and the check-in process was great. They also allowed us to store our luggage there after checkout, so we could enjoy more of the day before we left town for the airport.Thanks for everything!

It is always nice to visit New Orleans for a special purpose… and we won the High School State Championship. Geaux Dawgs. This is our first time at this unit and it MADE our weekend. Location was great, clean & updated. We had all we needed and host was great.
