Apartamento superior de New Forest Cliff con vistas lejanas de las Agujas

Venga y hospédese en nuestro fantástico apartamento recientemente renovado en el acantilado en el hermoso Barton-on-Sea. Hemos llamado a nuestro apartamento 'Stonesthrow', ya que está a solo un tiro de piedra de la impresionante playa de Barton, que domina la isla de Wight hacia el este y Hengistbury Head y Christchurch Bay hacia el oeste. Además, está en la puerta del Parque Nacional New Forest para que pueda disfrutar tanto de la costa como del campo durante su estadía sin tener que viajar muy lejos. Dentro de una media hora en automóvil, puede visitar el pintoresco Lymington con su historia marítima, Hurst Spit and Castle, la histórica Christchurch y numerosos destinos hermosos en el bosque con sus ponis libremente y abundante vida salvaje, así como una gran selección de impresionantes playas. Incluso podría aventurarse por el Solent en un viaje de un día a la Isla de Wight. Nuestro apartamento está en la planta baja y tiene puertas dobles que dan a un patio y los huéspedes pueden utilizar el jardín comunitario que da al mar. El salón principal tiene una cocina moderna de planta abierta, una mesa de comedor con cuatro sillas, sofá cama y sillón, además de TV. Usted puede ver las famosas agujas de la isla de Wight desde la ventana del salón. El dormitorio es de buen tamaño con una cama doble y un armario, y hay un moderno y luminoso baño moderno con una ducha de tamaño doble.

Great base for Dorset and New Forest

This was our 2nd stay since March 2025 as it is the perfect base for us to explore Dorset and the New Forest with our 2 dogs. Booking easy and comms with the host are straight forward and timely. and importantly, in an area that has lots of properties that I would say are expensive (I'm in London!), the price is decent for what you get. The apartment is a good size, comfortable, modern, and has pretty much everything you will need (bring your own towels). The host kindly supplied a pint of milk which is very welcomed, along with tea/coffee/sugar, cooking oil and salt/pepper. Good oven and ceramic hob, toaster and filter coffee maker. Ample hot water and heating if you need it, which you control. Good wi-fi and TV with all the usual channels which can access your Netflix and Amazon accounts too (just remember to log out). The TV has USB port if you wanted to play a movie from a flash drive. Good hot shower. Didn't use the washing machine/tumble but might be handy for those staying for longer than we did. Barton-on-Sea is lovely, low-key and quiet by evening. Great places to walk the dogs, and handy cafe and small shop just over the road. We managed to get parking on the premises on all but one of the days, but on-road parking is nearby and you can see your car. The apartment is on the main road, but the area is so quiet you wouldn't notice - if you take your dog just be mindful it doesn't make a run for it when you open the door. Highly recommend!

Brilliant location

Great location for us, right opposite a walk down to the beach and a good eaterie - Beachcomber and a lovely ice cream parlour next door.Great hosts left us fresh milk in the fridge and coffee/tea/sugar too - thanks!

Great base to explore the area

We stayed 2 nights. Booking and check-in couldnt have been easier. The apartment is in a great location and had everything we needed for our short stay. It was clean and tidy, with good heating and hot water. The shower was powerful, and the bed was comfy. We were able to watch our own Amazon and Netflix on the tv via the Google tv if you do this just remember to log out of your accounts on the tv before you leave. The wifi was decent. There's a good cafe and shop just over the road for essentials. The owner had left a pint of milk in the fridge which was welcome after a drive down from London. From here we did car trips to Bournemouth, Sandbanks, Hingistbury Head, and took the Sandbanks ferry over to Isle of Purbeck for Studland and the Blue Pool. If you're taking dogs, it's the perfect base, but be mindful the main door opens onto the road and you don't want your furry friend doing a runner when the door is opened. The garden isnt secure, which we knew, but our dogs need 4 or 5 walks daily anyway so not an issue. Traffic noise wasnt a problem despite being next to the main road, which is generally quiet. We couldnt get a parking space at the flats one night, but not a big deal as theres free road parking very nearby. If we had reason to go back to Barton we would stay here. It's budget friendly and well situated and felt like a home away from home.

Beautifully clean, smelt lovely throughout, comfy bed, fresh cosy linen/ duvet. Heating very good. All kitchen ware spot on. Thank you for a lovely stay. In the write up with Vrbo ( when you click on bedroom photo) it says to bring your own bedding.. but thankfully didn’t have to.

8 The Dome

Lovely location. Few great eating places nearby. Apartment is fine for two people, not adequate for 4. Bed comfortable and a nice big room. We found a few issues.1. The Information book unfortunately did not have any contact numbers for the hosts. Needed to report a problem. 2. We had an issue with the toilet. The flush was not very strong, it got block up with paper. We had to call a plumber which cost us 200.3. The shower heads were lime scaled. Managed to do the small head but the rain fall shower head was not working (needs replacing).4. No fire extinguisher or blanket.5. No hair dryer. 6. Top right hand slimline kitchen cupboard right of the extractor, the top hinge was coming away (so we did not use it).7. Biggest problem was not having a freezer/freezer compartment. We knew there wasn’t a freezer (thought we could manage, but it was definitely a problem). 8. Set of knives in wooden block were very blunt and difficult to cut anything.9. Outside sensor light would only stay on for about 10 secs. (Does need a longer time as it’s very dark and there is no other lighting and difficult to see).10. TV remote only worked occasionally. Overall it was okay but would not book this apartment again.

Great location and apartment

We only stayed for 2 nights but could not of picked a better location to stay. Apartment was clean and very well equipped and the hosts left some milk so we could have a cuppa on arrival. The cliff top is literally 20metres away with plenty of walks available overlooking the Isle of Wight . We would happily return and stay again.

Excellent place to stay, had everything we needed and was spotless. We only stayed two nights, but would definitely come back for longer as there was plenty of space, facilities for just right and everything was clean. It didn't bother us, but others may find the noise from other flats, especially in the hallway, bothersome.

New Forest cliff top apartment

Very nice property in a lovely location close to all amenities and seafront. It was clean and cosy which made for a lovely break away. The only thing that would have improved the stay would have been a fridge freezer or freezer compartment in the fridge. Apart from that we would give 10 out of 10 for the property.

Long weekend

Great little apartment, in an ideal location. A short stroll to Barton beach and cliff top walks. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the equipment to make basic meals if needed. There are plenty of good café, pubs and restaurants locally. Only minor niggle, was having to provide towels.

Ideal location

Location was fantastic, across from the beach and 15 minutes to Christchurch. Had everything we needed. No secure garden for the dog, so always had to be on a lead, very noisy neighbours both above and to the side. TV remote had a mind of its own, changed volume when changing channels, increased volume when pressing to reduce the volume. The bedding was a massive problem for us. It was 100% polyester and just stuck to us like velcro!! Cotton bedding is a must!

Lovely place

Peaceful and very clean apartment only one minutes walk to the cliff top, another two to the beach. The needles can be seen from the window and all in all it was a lovely weeks break there and we would not hesitate recommending it to others and will return again in the future. The parking was fine and the only very slight gripe we could make is that the checking in time of 16.30 is in our opinion a little late but it was not a big issue . Nine and three quarters out of ten.

Excellent

Super property in a very convenient location. It was clean and comfortable. TV remote took a bit of getting used to but just needs patience. Overall a nice property and very comfortable. BeachComber restaurant across the road is family run and serves 'to die for' breakfasts. Service is excellent.
