Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of. "Very well run hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Brattleboro. Free parking in a lot next to the hotel was a nice touch. My only gripe would be that my room (104) had no view as the windows were made of some kind of stained glass that you can't see through and couldn't open. Also they could not be closed all the way and allowed a cold draft to come through on a chilly night. I had to stuff towels in the open gaps to keep the chill out. A little strange I thought, but was manageable."

"Viking village is one of the most unique experiences we have had with being the most authentic and amazing Norse village in the United States. Attention to comfort and period detail along with an outdoor fire pit with Soay goats was unmatched. We didn’t want to leave. Paul and Christine were fabulous hosts and we will be back to the Viking village!"

"Very friendly staff (owner). Older roadside motel type property but very convenient for Landmark College and very clean. Definitely would stay again when visiting our kiddo at school."
