Open Floor Plan, Family Friendly, Waterview Home

  • Enjoy salt water views from the large front porch, second story living area, deck and the yard of this home on picturesque Great Island. Just 1 mile from Salty Brine Beach, 2 miles from Sand Hill Cove Beach and 3 miles from Scarborough Beach this completely renovated home is ideal for summer fun or quiet spring/fall weekends with the family.

    There's plenty of room in our 1650 sq ft home for three couples or two entire families vacationing together. After a day at the beach let the kids run around in the yard on this quiet island yet you are less than a mile from some of the town's best seafood restaurants and the historic fishing port of Galilee where the Block Island Ferry departs.

    This is our vacation home which we use regularly, not an investment property. Open floor plan with cathedral ceilings and "upside down" design to take advantage of the views. Meticulously maintained.

    Summer rentals (mid-June to Labor Day) are Saturday to Saturday. Holiday weekends, including URI graduation require a three day rental.

This house on Great Island is a beautiful home! The hosts were absolutely terrific, and they provided us with so many details about the house and the area. The best VRBO ever stayed at. Kitchen was well stocked, place was very clean. Dave was very helpful and responded to my questions promptly! The area was very close to Scarborough Beach and ferry to Block island. We had a peaceful and relaxing time!

Excellent location and a fantastic house

The house and host are marvelous and we really enjoyed our stay. We took our 84 year old mom for a birthday trip to revisit the places of her youth and the house was a perfect launch point. David was a terrific host and communication was easy

Beautiful property!

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, and comfortable rental, this is the place for you. The house is beautiful with the two outdoor decks, fantastic kitchen/living area (with everything you could need/want), and comfortable bedrooms. Everything was thoughtfully designed and the views are fantastic. Great location! We will be back!

Very nice neighborhood area and Very close to beaches and fishing wharf area. Fully stocked kitchen was a plus, clean and comfortable-Lots of hangout spaces. The kitchen and main hangout room is upstairs where the second bathroom is.

Airy and Peaceful

We had a lovely time at this beautiful clean home. The pictures don't do this home justice. It's beautiful, clean and in the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. The host was easy to communicate with and was very accomodating. I've stayed in this area many times and this home has climbed to the top of my list. Can't wait to come back again!

Great Home! Great Location!

Perfect beach setting in a quiet neighborhood short distance to restaurants, fish market and ferry to Block. Plenty of room. Clean. Nicely decorated. 30 minutes to Newport.
