For those wanting to experience historic Naples this apartment could hardly be more central, facing onto Spaccanopoli and next to via San Gregorio Armeno, the "street of the cribs." It's a busy neighbourhood during the day, with plenty of footfall to watch from the small balcony, but - as some of the other reviews have noted - is surprisingly quiet at night so we didn't find our sleeping disturbed (the double-glazed windows are also very effective at keeping noise out).
The apartment is compact but very well-planned, clean, bright and well maintained. One double bed is in a separate bedroom, the other is in the main living area which can be seperated for privacy from the kitchen and entrance by a sliding screen. As two friends travelling together we used both sleeping areas and the layout worked well.
The hosts were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. They met us at the appartment and, on this occasion, managed to accommodate an early check-in time for us.
