"Southern Star" is your family vacation destination in Surfside Beach, SC. Located on the ocean front just south of the central "downtown" area (which includes the soon-to-be remodeled Surfside Beach Pier!) Walk to ice cream, restaurants and sundries. Relax in the shade of your covered porch or sunbathe on the deck while listening to the waves crash on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean coastline. TVs in every bedroom. A walkway with shower. Two bedrooms with king beds (one with a private bath), a bedroom with 1 queen and 1 double and lastly a downstairs bedroom with 1 queen and 1 single. Sleeping for 13! Get the family together for a stay at 'Southern Star'!

Great location!

We had a great time at the Southern Star property. House was set up very nice and everything worked perfect! Would stay here again!

Great house!

We stayed across the street last year, but wanted to be on the beach this year. This was a great house, in a great location. Had everything we needed. Looking to book it again for next year!

A nice get away

The property was clean and convenient. It was true to the pictures shown. However, it does not have a grill or really any extras available for renters to use. Be sure to bring all house hold items with you as there is nothing there to use ( paper towels, dish soap

Great house and area. Beachfront.

Area had several shops and restaurants. The house was great and couldn't ask for better customer service. Wife forgot her wedding band and the cleaning crew found it and got it shipped back. Very thankful for that gesture and I hope whoever found it has the same luck and thank you, no really THANK YOU!! I will return to this house in the future. They are working on nearby surfside pier which can be a little noisy throughout the day, but suppose to be finished by 2023 stay. Overall, I would rate the stay, area, house very highly.

Southern Star review

We had a very good week and enjoyed our house. It was very neat and had plenty of room for our party. The reality company was immediately responsive to a minor issue with our keyless entry lock system. Something minimal of importance we did notice was that there were no games or books in the house. We cannot recall renting a beach location that did not keep some games and books for rainy days. Another slight issue was our close vicinity to a bar that had their speakers playing music constantly during the day (11 am- evening) that projected out towards the beach and was audible on our back porch. We knew that it was to attract customers, but some of the music was not enjoyable to us (ie: heavy metal & Caribbean style). We enjoyed having easy accessibility to bars, restaurants and food stores as well as having a comfortable bike riding area. Overall we give our experience a very favorable rating.
