Z-16 is our little slice of beach living. Our location is within walking distance of the pools, camp store, mini golf & arcade. We have been at Ocean Lakes since 1976 and at Z16 since 2003. We like the atmosphere and always enjoy the good southern hospitality of Ocean Lakes. Our house offers 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a stacked washer & dryer & flat screen TV's in both bedrooms as well as the den and WiFi. Our den has high ceilings & opens into the kitchen/dining area. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven & double sinks. The kitchen table has 4 chairs along with 4 bar stools for the bar area in the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, mixing bowls and baking dishes. Glassware & sliverware are included as well as cooking utensils., Our property has a 'L' shaped deck on the front & the side with outdoor chairs & table. A gas gill in included on the deck & we also have a charcoal grill at the back of the house. There is a large rubbermaid container that holds all beach chairs & umbrellas for your use.

*** You will need to provide your own towels, linens, bath soaps, detergents and paper products.

***Ocean Lakes is a family-oriented, gated campground. All guests must abide by the rules and regulations of the campground. Upon arrival, you will need to check in at the main office in order to register your vehicle with Ocean Lakes and pay a $12/day parking pass fee per vehicle. *** Please note this is paid directly to Ocean Lakes Campground and is subject to change. This is the current daily rate Ocean Lakes charges as of Spring 2021. Please see Oceans Lakes Campgrounds website for more information concerning additional parking options.

*** A security deposit of $200.00 is required and will be refunded after 14 days from checkout, provided there is no damage to the house. The house must be cleaned before departure.

***Payment for rent must be received 30 days in advance of the date of check in.

***Cancellations must be received 30 days prior to check in in order to to receive a full refund.

Note: Please make certain our home is clean for our next guests.

Less Than 1 StarOur family (two adults and three kids, including a newborn) arrived around 6 PM, excited for a weekend at the beach. As soon as we walked in, the floors and carpets were covered in dead bugs—large and small—under furniture and out in the open.I contacted the host right away. She said pest control had recently sprayed and told me I could “just sweep them up.” When I said I was concerned, she said she could send a cleaner but it would be a few hours. I asked if that meant before 9 PM, and she never responded.We left to give time for cleaning and reached back out to the host a little after 9 PM. When we returned, the bugs were still everywhere and the house was still dirty. We were only in the home about 10 minutes total between both visits and ended up having to find somewhere else to stay late at night with our children, hours from home.The host never apologized, still refused to refund our money, and told us to deal with VRBO ourselves. VRBO was not able to reach her by phone either.This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation for our family—especially for me as a freshly postpartum mom—but it was anything but relaxing.The pictures attached are only a few of the bugs; they were everywhere.I even waited over a week before posting this review, hoping the host would do the right thing, but she did not.

Great home for a week way from home

This is our second time visiting the Ocean Lakes Property and this home was just as good as the last. The owner was always available and sent the check in instructions by mail a month ahead to make sure we could easily access the proper. The home itself had everything we needed and more; from comfy recliners to beach chairs and boogie boards. If available we would definitely stay again on our next trip to the property.

This was my second time on this property. third time at ocean lakes. The property is within a good walking distance of where the pool is. Communication what the home owner was good. While I was leaving the place, I found out that there is a lady that goes through to clean it.So you don't have to go crazy cleaning.Just don't leave a mess and clean up after yourself. I mainly like that there is a barbecue I am able to use. But the cleaning brushes were nasty and I had to buy a new one. Also, no dish soap or sponge, so you might need that when staying there. There was some kind of soap but it wasn't for dishes. I left a sponge and the soap behind for the next guests.

Nice little getaway

Sweet owner…chairs and beach equipment needs to be gone through…the little place is charming and on a quiet road. Neighbors are super nice. Would rent again!! Very accessible to everything!!

This was our first time staying “in the middle” of OceanLakes. It was very nice and quiet even though you are located near the store and pool. The house had everything we needed. It was nice having two good size bathrooms. Owner was very helpful with any questions we had.

Awesome location.

Was working at the campground and the family wanted to tag along. Have never stayed on property and decided to pay a little more than the hotels on the beach. The kids had a great time, the wife got sunburn and I worked my butt off. It was great to have 2 rooms and an area to relax. Will differently check in with them next time.

We had no issues from flooding. We were high and dry. Only thing that concerned us we knew someone had been in house to straighten and made up room. We were not aware there was a cleaning service. Nothing was missing. Just a surprise. I
