What a stunning property, like living in the most beautiful tree house with its floor to ceiling windows surrounded by trees. The modern design with concrete, wood and sleek black surfaces was also somehow also comfortable, warm and inviting. The place was generously equipped with every single thing you could need and top end appliances, We stayed on the main floor in a huge suite that was completely sound proofed while our kids and grandkids had the bottom floor to themselves with their own living room and access to the sauna. The natural forest path to the lake was stunning and an adventure itself - my 3 yr old grand daughter enjoyed finding acorns on the way and we loved how natural it was, although for someone with mobility issues it could be a bit difficult to navigate. Bruce Lake was perfect - small, warm, quiet and serene. We only saw one motor boat the whole week and at night could hear loons calling. My husband loved the kayaks. The air flow in the cottage was brilliant and the fans were really effective creating the a natural breeze through the place - but still not air conditioning - and we appreciated being provided with a couple of space air conditioners as it was a hot week. Also no generator meant that we lost water along with power for almost 24 hours, but we managed. Shoutout to Madison who was so helpful and responsive. The location was perfect, 12 minutes to Port Carling and the cutest country store even closer. We all had a truly memorable, magical week!
