Best guesthouse in Gozo! Staff was super kind and helpful upon arriving to the island.

We stayed two nights after a week long trip around the islands. It's a brand new hotel, but delivers very inconsistently, particularly given it's price point. We had booked a room with seaview - which had a fantastic view of the bay. Our impression is that most other rooms inside the hotel did not have this excellent view though. The room was overall in very good standard, but with some slightly sour smell to the towels. The room was well noise isolated from the outside and had good AC. Reception staff was also super helpful and friendly. The biggest letdown was the half board service, which was a definite waste of money. Particularly the dinner felt like a joke with something that looked like a kids menu (spaghetti bolognese and chicken burgers) and very limited options, plus a poor tasting desert. It does also not include any drinks whatsoever. We opted to go elsewhere on our second day despite having paid for it in advance. We had similar issues with a rooftop restaurant - exceptionally slow (60min+ waiting time for some hummus and a sandwich) and unapologetic about it. The rooftop is beautiful, but it is a restaurant that lowers the experience of the hotel. Lots of smoke and mirrors between what it tries to present itself as and what it really is. There was occasional very loud music behind played from the rooftop as well. Overall, I do think there would be better option in the town - particularly ones that can deliver to a similar standard for a much better price.
