Rustic two-story cabin on creek with covered bridge and water wheel...

This rustic two-story newly renovated cabin is right on a creek with a covered bridge and water wheel. There is a new mini split system for heating and air conditioning with remote control thermostats. You can sit on the covered porch and listen to the creek or wade in the creek and be splashed by the water wheel. Located just 15 minutes from the Harrah's Valley River Casino or beautiful downtown Murphy and just a short drive to John C. Campbell Folk School. There is a propane grill outside with table and chairs for outside dining and also Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the creek. There is a fire pit with wood so you can enjoy a nice fire and roast marshmallows. From the downstairs living area, you can look out the windows and enjoy the view of the creek and water wheel. There is a foosball table, DVD player and movies for rainy days, board games and a smart TV with WIFI. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, and sink. There are plates, silverware, glasses, coffee pot and coffee cups so you can prepare meals if you wish.

This was our second time staying at this cabin. It was as enjoyable as it was 2 years ago. We love the gas fireplace as well as the fire pit outside. The water wheel just outside the bedroom balcony is icing on the cake.

True Relax

The photos of this property do not do it justice! We loved everything about this place (my bad knee disagrees after the steps for a few days lol). We had rain the first night, and the sound of all of that rain on the water wheel was the most relaxing sound to sleep to. We also had a lot of fun playing Foosball during the rain! The hosts provide everything you will need, and they even left us a sweet treat to enjoy during our stay! Definitely a great experience. We hope to be back soon!!

Would give 10 stars if I could. Clean, thoughtful accommodations, convenient, reasonably priced. Not one bad thing to say. Listening to the creek and waterwheel was just the relaxing reset we needed.

Birthday Get Away

I found this very relaxing cabin when searching for a house to stay for my husbands birthday. We enjoyed the peacefully area and the waterwheel was fun to see and listen to. Access was very easy and the cabin was clean and welcoming with all of the essentials. Local restaurants and grocery stores were within 30 minutes.

Summer visit

We visited our son, who odds working at a local summer camp. This was a lovely base for our exploration of the area. The host was very prompt in communication and had many special tickets throughout the house. The creek, waterwheel, and landscaping around the property were wonderful.

Anniversary getaway

We absolutely love this beautiful setting with the waterwheel & the flowing stream. And we enjoy the fire pit on cool evenings. This was our third stay & James and Melissa are such hospitable hosts and even paid us a visit. They are quick to respond if there's a need. The cabin is always so clean with everything you can need provided.

Awesome Cabin

Loved this cabin! It had everything you might need. Super clean & the wheel was the best. Great location & quite. They left us fire wood for the firepit & a surprise of a Smores kit! Great hosts.

this was hands down the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. the cabin was beautiful, the sound of the water wheel combined with the very comfortable beds provided the best sleep ever. The fact that it was pet friendly made it even sweeter. It is difficult to find such an incredible property that allows 3 dogs without outrageous fees. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The fireplace was awesome. The area was great and the hosts provide an extensive book of things to do. The crazy thing is we had another property booked but the host canceled because of a chimney fire. So we found the best place ever by accident and at the last minute. We are already planning on next year!!

Great Cabin!

Me, my husband and our dogs had a great time at this cabin! It is so nice and peaceful! The cabin was very clean and looks just as pictured in the photos! The host was very easy to work with. We hope to come again sometime!

The cabin was exactly what we needed after a day of hiking. The place is unique and inviting. The covered bridge welcomes you and the water wheel and creek are soothing. The cabin was very clean and as described in listing.

Lovely weekend getaway

Our family stayed in the waterwheel cabin the weekend of Campbell Folk School's Fall Festival. It was two parents, a teen, a preteen, and our family dog. The cabin was cozy and clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. Communication was great. They even left us with firewood and a s'mores kit. It was a lovely weekend and we wish we could have stayed longer!

Hidden Gem

The best! Cabin and grounds are beautifully kept. Very clean and cozy. From the surprise Smores kit, to having been stocked with everything you would need for a perfect vacation! The ceiling fan on the top porch was fantastic for a cool breeze all day, even in high 90s temps! Couldn't ask for a better weekend getaway! The whole family enjoyed it very much and will definitely recommend to everyone who is needing to decompress from the daily grind of life!

Cutest Cabin in the Woods

We loved our stay there, we wanted something small and away from everything. This is tucked away in the hills, right beside a creek and the water wheel is amazing to fall asleep to. The town of Murphy has all the small town charm, several restaurants to choose from and the cutest shops, a little something for everyone. My family highly recommends this cabin for a relaxing getaway, we will visit again!!
