Great Place!

Travel to Murphy for quick getaways quite often…. perfect house , great location, quiet street! So close to everything! Have stayed in many… in the area.. definitely put this one on Top of my list!

We stayed here for our anniversary. It was a perfect spot for us. The kitchen is stocked well. The bed was very comfortable. The outside sitting spots were great. We would definitely stay here again. Quiet spot to relax.

We enjoyed our stay at the property in Murphy, NC. The home was beautifully decorated and well stocked. The layout worked well for our family. Look forward to staying again in the future.

Beautiful home and location!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The location was perfect for getting to town and the great hiking spots around Murphy and Andrews. The house was fully stocked and the river view is gorgeous.

Love the town and the house/river were amazing

Second trip to Murphy and had a great time again! The location is super convenient to town and river sound was calming and serene. House had everything we needed and experienced no issues during our stay.

We have stayed at the Riverhouse on the Hiwassee three times and it is always perfect. There is plenty of space for our entire family to spread out, furnishings and amenities are well thought out and in good condition, and the setting cannot be beat. It is close to Murphy but it feels like it could in another world. There is nothing like sitting on the porch with a good book and watching the river roll past. We will definitely return.

Great Place To Unwind

Great place for a family to enjoy and relax alongside the Hiawassee River. Great location, within a short drive you could be in Blueridge or Helen. Property is in a gated community which gives that extra peace of mind. Will definitely book again.

Murphy Family Vacation

If you are looking for a great place close to town but far enough for privacy with river access then this is it. Very beautiful place, well stocked with great views of the river. Communication with owners was great. We will stay again when coming back to Murphy area.

Really enjoyed the house, and the river location. My only complaint was with Evolve Management Company. I wasn’t able to contact anyone with questions that I was hoping to get answered before I committed to stay. After I made the commitment, communication with the property manager was very good, but not being able to communicate prior to making the reservation would possibly keep me from using another property managed by Evolve in the future.

Mountain getaway

House was great! Everything we needed and more. Loved the riverfront property and beautiful countryside. Perfect location for us to spend time at the casino, Helen Ga., Bryson City, Blue Ridge Ga. It was a great fall vacation!

Great wedding weekend getaway

The house was exactly as described. It was spotless and in a great location. Our daughter was getting married and we were minutes from the venue. Wish we had more time to spend but was worth every minute.

Awesome!

Friends and Family from the Eastern part of NC got together at this BEAUTIFUL location for Labor Day weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed the R&R sitting by the river. Great accommodations, decor extraordinary, and thanks for all amenities and supplies for an extended weekend. Will definitely visit again, and recommend this property to any and everyone! Beautiful home inside and out!

Perfect getaway home. The home is situated on the river and has a beautiful view. Tranquil mornings and evenings were enjoyed. Convenient to town and easily accessible. Property managers were quick to respond to questions and needs. They have stocked this home for everyone’s needs. This is a must stay if you are looking in the area. We will be back!!

Another fantastic week at the River House on the Hiwassee

This is our second time staying at the River House on the Hiwassee and I am happy to say that it was just as wonderful as our first visit, if not better because this time we could anticipate being back in this beautiful house. Every need seems to have been accounted for. The house was immaculate upon our arrival, and there is ample space for me, my wife, and our two children, who loved having their own bedrooms for the week. I look forward to having tea on the porch in the morning with a view of the river, watching the wildlife and enjoying the quiet. This is a perfect oasis of calm just minutes from the resources of Murphy. We will definitely be back, and I can't wait!

Cleanliness of property

There are a lot of spider webs covering the decks no one is taking care of the outside of the property properly. The inside had cobwebs too. Lots of spiders.

Incredible stay

The property and everything about it was meticulously thought out and made the stay so remarkable. The home itself is gorgeous as is the setting of it. We traveled with my grandmother who stayed on the master on the main level. My in-laws stayed in one of the upstairs rooms and my husband and I stayed in the other large room upstairs. My young girls shared the loft bed, which they thought was such a sweet little space with books and a bean bag chair. We also have a baby that was able to sleep in the pack and play that was provided. Everything was a great experience. Only bit of feedback worth noting if traveling with young kids who sleep in a dark room (like our kids), is that the rooms are bright as the sun sets where the windows are. We used black trash bags over windows to help with the brightness. It wasn’t an issue at all, just thinking that tip may help a future traveler. Would absolutely stay here again and so appreciative of how wonderful it was.

Beautiful Mountain Vacation!

The house is beautiful and exactly as represented. Easy access to the house through the back gate of community, and only 5-10 minutes into Murphy for shopping, supplies, etc. Family trip with 5 of us easily stayed at the river house. Beds were incredibly comfortable, and all the basic amenities were supplies in the bathrooms. We loved that each bedroom had a king bed. Kitchen had everything you need for cooking meals. Access to the river was fairly easy and only a few steps out the back door. Fishing was a bust as this section of the river is very shallow during June. If you fly fish, you might be able to catch some trout. You can actually wade completely across this river (~50 yards). Kids had a blast wading and playing in the river as the current is not too strong in this area. Grab some floats and sit out in the river...so peaceful!! The only thing I would recommend is some steps be built down to the river's edge. It is a steep incline for anyone not agile enough to make it. Highly recommend Fires Creek Recreation area which is close by for swimming and hiking. If you want a super fun drive, take the time for Cherohala Parkway. We would love to stay here again!

This is the second month in a row we stayed in this cabin. It is right on the river and absolutely amazing. Comfortable, cozy, plenty of room and spotless. We will be back very soon.
