Newly Renovated! Perfect home away in Munich.

Enjoy Munich as a local in this newly renovated two room apartment in the center of town. The building dates from the mid 1800's and the ammenities from 2016. With 82 square meters (almost 900 square feet) you will have plenty of room to work or relax. The apartment is on the ground floor and, in addition to being very secure, is easily accessable for any traveller. The location is very close to SENDLINGER TOR, a major public transportation hub with the intersection of 4 subway lines, 4 tram lines and a bus line. You can easily get to anywhere in the city from Sendlinger Tor. Marienplatz is only a short stroll away. Inspite of being in the center of town, the apartment is very quiet and is always enjoyed by guests of any age. Families, retirees, business travellers, opera singers, actors and explorers of all kinds have been our guests over the years.

The bathroom was completely remodeled in 2016 and includes a large walk-in shower, floor heating, custom cabinets and a clothes washer/dryer combo. The kitchen includes a large refridgerator, dish washer, plenty of cooking utensils as well as pots-and-pans of all sizes. The apartment is ideal for longer stays or shorter get-away trips.

A brand new, Italian-made sleeper sofa with an extra sized mattress for comfort is found in the living room along with a lovely new dining table and chairs. The living area has tasteful lighting which may be dimmed to suit any mood.

The bedroom has a brand new 180cm x 200cm mattress and bed along with top quality bedding from Zoeppritz, Europe's oldest fabric weaving company (1828). You will have plenty of closet space along with a comfortable work desk and high-speed WLAN connectivity and, of course, a flatscreen television. Draw the lovely JAB Anstoetz drapes for privacy at any time and enjoy your home-away-from-home in Munich.

We never met the host and there was no reason to contact them.Arrival instructions were clear and access to the property straight forward.The property was very clean, and had pretty much everything we needed. We went to the local supermarket to get breakfast bits, but ate out all other times. We did make use of the sofa bed, and we found it comfortable however, the radiator in this room is noisy as is the fridge, so if you are a light sleeper these may disturb you.We could have done with an extra loo roll, one was not enough, it would have been helpful to have a tea towel so we could dry up. (I'm being super picky here and this is just down to preferences).As others mentioned there was a a slight stale/damp smell, but once we aired the property it never bothered us.The location of this property is perfect, close to all transport links, some good restaurants and a pleasant walk into the old town.We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely & spacious floor-level apartment in a quiet street but very close to transport links and short walk into centre of Munich. Has everything you need for a short stay. Host was really friendly, responded quickly to questions and resolved the couple of (self-inflicted!) issues we had really smoothly. Huge bedroom, nice bathroom. Would heartily recommend it.

The flat is absolutely amazing. From what I understand about urban living in Munich, this place is nearly palacial in size. The flat is clean and airy and welcoming.The hosts were easy to communicate with when needed and super responsive. I definitely recommend a stay at this place when you're in Munich! I know that we will stay here again on our next trip.

We were not aware that this property was in the basement. There was a musty smell and I woke up with swollen eyes every morning from the mold. The humidifier was broken so it was not too much of a help. The apartment was clean, but new linens need to be bought as there were stains on all of the linens and bedding, but everything was very clean. I would suggest that the owner invest back into the property and purchase new linens and a humidifier. It would have been a nicer experience if the humidifier was working.

Como ya les comente, tuve que cancelar la instancia en el apartamanto, porque era una semisotano, holia a humedad, habian 2 humificadores en funcionamiento durante la noche, estaba repleto de arañas y la limpieza era minima. No se cuando se reformo, pero las fotos del anuncio no se parecen en nada al estado real. De 3 noches solo nos quedamos una. Tube que buscar otro alojamiento. Vas a pasar unos dias de vacaciones con la familia (con hijos menores y te encuentras esta desagradable sorpresa. Casi 2 semanas despuea aun estoy esperando a que VRBO y el propietario hagan el reembolso acordado.

Die Wohnung liegt gut in einem schönen Szeneviertel. Das Bad ist neu und weitgehend gut.Leider liegt die Wohnung im Souterrain, weshalb sie feucht und wesentlich dunkler als auf den Fotos ist. Die Fenster zur Straße hin gehen zu verdreckten Lichtschächten hinaus. Bei geöffnetem Fenster kann man direkt reingucken ins tiefer ligegende Bad.Die Wohnung war nicht ganz reinlich geputzt - Chips unter der Küchenzeile, Staubflocken an den Rändern und die Toilette war nur oberflächliche gewischt worden.Es roch muffig, Luftentfeuchter brummten stetig und hinter dem Standspiegel im Schlafzimmer war Schimmel an der Wand, die Bettwäsche leicht klamm.Sorry, auch wenn man sieht, dass sich hier jemand bei der Einrichtung Mühe gegeben hat, wären diese Räume im Grunde nur als Fahrradkeller zu nutzen.Wir haben uns in der Wohnung unwohl gefühlt, die Fotos ließen uns zuvor eine andere Wohnung erwarten.

Great Munich Apartment

This was a wonderful little apartment within walking distance to public transportation and Marienplatz. There was also a great little grocery store nearby. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay: coffee maker, tea kettle, small kitchen, WiFi, and washer/dryer. The host was always prompt and easy to communicate with.

Bait & switch listing

Sorry, but the pictures of this listing do not match the state of the apartment today but look like professional real estate shots from when it was last sold. While the appliances in the unit today are in fact newer than what's pictured, the rest of the apartment hasn't aged too well. The place is a souterrain apartment and unfortunately very dark, damp and musty smelling. Unsurprisingly, the house guest manual had instructions to keep a pair of dehumidifiers running at all times and empty the collection bucket on one as it filled up. I'm sorry, the last and only time I had to live with a dehumidifier was renting in a dodgy student shared house in Sydney that had an issue with rising damp and mold. This stay was also the only time I have ever encountered a cockroach in Munich. Admittedly I left the place some 20 years ago after growing up there and climate change likely means roaches are now not uncommon in the city, but the state of cleanliness, or lack thereof, would have to be a big contributor. Please give the place a thorough clean and update the listing with some current photos so people know what they're getting. The location is fabulous and the self-check-in was seamless and convenient, but unfortunately this didn't make up for the many other flaws that made this stay, in my home town no less, a low point of our Europe holiday accommodation-wise

The apartment was in a good location. It was not very clean. Used soaps in a dish and used tea towel hanging up. Oven and trays dirty. Good sized fridge. King sized bed and spacious.

Great location, large apartment. Well equipped kitchen. Rooms are below grade, so not too bright. We had bad luck with the intermittent heating system, so could not get comfortable. Really need full heat to drive off the dampness. Renovated bathroom and comfy lounging area.

A little effort would make this great

The location was great - even had a fun little cocktail bar next door. With a little effort, this would be an ideal location. There were 3 different coffee makers but no coffee making ingredients provided (most do this). There were 2 irons on site - one appeared to have had a cord fire and the other had something melted to the bottom. My partner was able to clean the one with the melt on it so it was usable. While there was a washer/dryer unit, we were unable to find laundry supplies until after we had purchased detergent. The hair dryer appeared to have melted around the nozzle so we were leary of using it. The host made no contact during our stay.

Location was perfect, being close to the major transport links and within walking distance of some brilliant parts of the city. The neighbourhood was vibrant and cool, with some fantastic restaurants, bars and shops. There are some easily-fixed drawbacks to the apartment however; pillows, bedding, towels and curtains all need replacing, to come up to the standard of the rest of the apartment and to justify the price. Basic things that would make a huge difference. Nonetheless, the apartment itself is very spacious and secure, and the bathroom is new and clean.
