  • (Cabaña tradicional irlandesa galardonada) Disfruta de una cálida bienvenida a mi acogedora cabaña, llena de luz y espacio, con estufa y chimenea; una cabaña espaciosa y moderna con cocina, aparcamiento privado gratuito, jardín con vistas al río, total libertad para moverte por la cabaña, un ambiente tranquilo y apacible. Trae a tu mascota, están permitidas. El jardín privado tiene un arroyo que discurre paralelo a la cabaña. Está en una zona muy solicitada, sin problemas de orden público, tranquila y muy bien considerada: a cinco minutos del centro ecuestre, a dos minutos del hipódromo canino, a cinco minutos del centro de artes de Mullingar y a cinco minutos del centro de la ciudad de Mullingar, con una gran variedad de tiendas, bares y restaurantes. Se puede ir a pie a todas partes gracias a su proximidad a todo, y hay un sendero que lleva directamente hasta la ciudad.

Great property in a really good location to explore the area. We brought bikes and kayaks and had room to park the trailer and car on the drive. The nearby Old Rail Trail and Lough provide great days out and Mullingar on your doorstep and Athlone a short drive. Comfy beds and a ship nearby for groceries. Met all our needs.

We loved our stay at the cottage. Super cute and warm. It was wonderful it had a washing machine for us to replenish our clothes. Only thing as being out of country, our taxi driver had to tell us how to lock the doors. I would definitely stay there again if I ever make it back. Mullingar is an amazing little town

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Noeleen was quick to respond to any questions and we were very comfortable during our short stay in Mullingar.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our recent tour of Ireland. Firstly, the location was gorgeous. The little stream at the back of the property created a perfect backdrop to the pretty 'little' cottage. It was very easy to find using satnav, and there was parking for at least 2 cars. We were given plenty of clear instructions by the owner, enabling us to gain entry. We found that the 'little' cottage wasn't so little at all. It was a well equipped 3 bedroom cottage, with everything you would need for a holiday. It was clean and tidy, although it probably needs a little updating in the bathroom. A particularly lovely touch was the ingredients for an Irish breakfast, left in the fridge. Of huge importance was the quality of our sleep. This stay was halfway through our 2 week tour and the first time we had had two undisturbed night's sleep. The bed was really comfy and, despite being on the front of the house, the room was quiet. We wouldn't hesitate to return to the cottage, and to Mullingar, if we decided to visit Ireland again.

Cute cottage near town. Very warm and had all the things requiered for a pleasant stay. As there were 5 of us the single bathroom did require some organizing of who had it and when otherwise fine. A suggestion would be to have the clothes dryer in the kitchen next to the washing machine for convenience, and perhaps a second oven tray that fits into the rackng. We stayed 3 weeks and it was very pleasant.

Home Away From Home

We took an extended trip to Ireland and wanting to see multiple parts of the country opted to stay in the midlands. My husband found this listing on VRBO and we booked it. Best decision of the trip. This is a lovely home with a location that made it convenient to visit several other counties in the country. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was present, including some food items stocked upon our arrival which meant we didn’t have to go right out and shop. That wasn’t expected but much appreciated. The home has a washer/dryer and dishwasher. Several coffeemakers and a kettle. There is also a river where the name comes from to lull you to sleep at night. It took us no time at all to settle in. The homeowner maintained an outstanding level of communication and was quick with replys to help us with cultural confusion (we are American and needed some explanation for things like eir codes lol). I was sad to see our time in Mullingar end but if we return I wouldn’t hesitate to book Riven cottage. Not only is it a warm and welcoming property with a great owner but it’s within walking distance of downtown making shopping and days out convenient. I cannot recommend this listing enough.
