Room was clean and big for a studio. Enjoyed the pool, sauna, hot tub, lazy river and steam room. Movie night was a bust but I think that was due to the lightning nearby. Had a good time, would go back.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Renters Beware I rented an apartment at The Landing while dropping my daughter off for her freshman year of college. Because I have significant medical issues, I was extremely careful about selecting a property where I could be comfortable and have a smooth, stress-free stay. Unfortunately, this experience was anything but that. When I arrived, I could not get through the gate because I had not been provided with a gate code. I eventually found a gentleman outside with a golf cart and asked if he knew where the apartment was. Fortunately, his wife was a property manager on site, so he was able to show me where the apartment was. The unit was on the third floor, which was already difficult given my medical limitations. When I entered the code provided to me, I opened the door and walked into a woman who had been staying in the apartment for approximately a week. I immediately left because I was understandably extremely uncomfortable and concerned about the situation. I then had to scramble to find somewhere else to stay, and it was nearly 11:00 PM before I was finally able to secure another reservation. At 11:00 PM, Hotels.com contacted me and told me there had been a “confusion” and that the woman was in the wrong unit. I find that explanation extremely difficult to believe. If she was in the wrong unit, how did I receive the access code that opened the exact unit where she had been staying? I still haven’t heard from management.
