Welcome to the charming seaside town of Morro Bay!

Fog & Stars cottage is a triplex located in the heart of Morro Bay and boasts an incredible view of the sunset, ocean, and the famous Morro Rock. As a guest of Fog & Stars unit 218, you’re just a two-minute stroll from the many colorful and fun establishments along Embarcadero Street and a five-minute drive to the beach. With your close proximity to both water and nearby woodlands, there’s no shortage of things to do. Activities include hiking on more than a dozen scenic trails, biking, kayaking, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding, bird watching, whale watching and of course, cooing at the adorable sea otters and chunky sea lions.

After burning all those calories, you probably will be feeling quite famished. Don't worry! An array of fantastic restaurants are within walking distance of Fog & Stars cottage. Whether it be fresh seafood on Embarcadero street or spicy Thai food downtown, you will never run out of choices. Speaking of downtown, you can stop by the historic Bay Theater for the latest movie, then do some shopping at the quirky vintage shops the area is known for.

Feel like putting on your favorite sweats and staying in for the day? Well, the gel foam memory mattresses in Fog & Stars are perfect for you to luxuriate on and watch your favorite show or movie. There's a TV in every room so no need to fight over the remote. We also offer a variety of games and books both kids and adults can enjoy. Really a nice place. The only problem was that the cabinets were too high for us short people. 5' 2 "and 5' 6" . Other wise a very lovely place to stay.

We loved this place so much! It is perfectly located in the heart of all, but tucked away enough to feel private. The unit had all the amenities and watching the sunset each night from our private deck was the best. The owners were very responsive and the town itself is such a gem. We will happily be back!

We stayed here for graduation weekend in SLO hoping to spend some time away from the crowds. We really didn’t have much time at the unit but it was a great place and the patio was excellent for sitting in the afternoon, only wish we could have spent more time there relaxing to the sounds of the critters in the bay while watching the sunset over the rock.

This unit is very comfortable and VERY well located just above the Embarcadero. We walk to restaurants, the garden center just below, the art gallery we like. Everything we need is in the unit. We’ve stayed here several times and enjoy it every time.

We had a great birthday weekend stay. Very clean, all the bedding was newer, clean and very comfortable, there were plenty of blankets to snuggle up with on the patio that had a wonderful view of the ocean and Moro Bay rock. There is a BBQ there for your use with the charcoals and lighter fluid, that was a nice surprise. You can cook a whole gourmet meal in the kitchen, although we would have loved to have a cutting board, we made it work without one. We would definitely stay again and refer our friends and family to stay, we give this place 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Accurate, clean, simple. Super easy check in, great communication. It's one unit in a group of units, all redone at some point to update from the old school california bugalows, it's a block from the main walking around area of Morro Bay. Nice view of the bay and sunset, and a little outside area to hang out in. Beds comfy, kitchen works, really no downside.

This place is quaint and very clean. It’s perfect for 5 or 6 people. It’s very close to the main Embarcadero. The only negatives are that 1) there is only 1 bathroom and 2) it is on a very busy street. All big trucks that deliver to the stores and trash trucks use this street. 6 am it was very loud and constant for about an hour. Other than an early wake up, it’s a very nice place. And for a 6 person place, there really isn’t seating for 6 to all sit and watch a show or play a game together.

Our family of four found Fog and Stars to be well beyond our expectations. Clean, safe, comfortable lodging. Very short walking distance to Embarcadero for food and shopping. Cooked meals and enjoyed the patio with views of Morro Rock and the marina. Perfect location for staging our morning kayak tour. Dedicated parking spot. So much better to enjoy one’s vacation at Fog and Stars than at a crowded, noisy motel. Super Satisfied!
