Harry Potter fans can visit the famous Alnwick Castle just 12 miles away. Alternatively, stroll along the beautiful marina in the friendly port of Amble (10 miles), or head into the town of Rothbury (10.5 miles) to visit historic Cragside House and Gardens – the first home in Britain to be lit by hydroelectricity.

From the private parking area (there’s room for three cars), step through the back door of your cottage, and you’ll be immediately greeted by the sleek and stylish kitchen. Continue through a connecting door to find yourself in the welcoming open-plan lounge/diner with lovely garden views. Natural light streams into this welcoming space, creating a bright and cheerful area for socialising with loved ones. A door from the lounge leads to a long hallway that takes you to three restful bedrooms – two beautifully styled king-size and one pretty twin.
