Little Cabin in the Woods

  • Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, unique log cabin completely updated, nestled in the woods. Secluded mountain feel, but 5 minutes from I-40. Minutes from Lake James, and a short drive to the eateries/ entertainment of Morganton or Marion. Access all the amazing activities that WNC has to offer including hiking, biking, boating, tubing, swimming, kayaking, fishing, with beautiful weather & scenery year round from this convenient location or sit on the front porch & enjoy the beauty.
    The space
    Hand hewn logs from 1800s reconstructed into the cutest fairy tail cabin with updated finishes throughout gives you the timeless rustic feeling but also of fresh and clean at the same time.
    Guest access
    Guests have access to entire cabin as well as the property it is on. Please note for tall people, the doors to the bedroom and bathroom only have 6'0" clearance. Watch your head!

    Additional rules
    Please strip the beds that have been slept in when checking out.

    This is intended to be a family friendly space, not for parties or large gatherings. Our neighbors will let us know if there are any concerns. The outdoor security camera is simply to check if there is a concern over vandalism or large gatherings.

Adorable cabin! Loved the secluded location. Very clean and comfortable. Family friendly. Front porch was a great place to have coffee each morning. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay here!

Perfect cabin in the woods, spotless, modern and rustic at the same time. Well stocked with everything you need, everything works as it should. Good communication and clear instructions about the property. I would rebook this lovely place again. Perfect for a couple of two!

It is a very clean and private house at a reasonable price. Comfortable beds and everything you need for a nice stay. It is in a good location off I40 and close to Lake James.

This place far exceeded what I thought it was going to be. I was expecting a decent little cabin in the woods- I was not expecting one of the best little cabins in the woods I've ever stayed at! There was plenty of room, the location was gorgeous, bonus we got a storm and were able to lay in the second room with all the windows and it just added to the overall natural beauty. The cookies left by the host were a wonderful homey touch and they were delicious. The attention to detail in this whole cabin was above average and I would absolutely stay here again. Top notch experience!

This property is more than a 5-star. The little Cabin was perfect, the host are amazing! My husband and I enjoyed the fire pit and a BBQ dinner outside on 1 night. The kitchen was stocked, even seasonings that were needed. The beds are comfortable. The shower, I could have stayed in their for an hour. I love the big square shower head. We got to see a dear, many birds and squirrels playing in the morning. Thank you for your hospitality.

In town for local weekend race, The Bear Crawl.Very nice Cabin. A lot bigger inside then what it looks like on outside. Updated inside. Very comfortable. Plenty of linens. Quiet area. Would go back again. Definitely recommend for couples.

Secret little gem

This cozy little house sits close to interstate access. Tucked in the woods we had our privacy. Brad, the host is very accommodating. Our family lives in the area and we look forward to visiting again!

This was my family's second time staying here. As before, the cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with all we needed. We love how the cabin is secluded but still convenient to the interstate. From the cabin we were able to take day trips to Mt. Mitchell, Lake James, and Linville Gorge/Falls.

The whole cabin was excellent. Every aspect of what you need is there. Do not hesitate to rent this cabin. The host were perfect. Their communication with their guests is far beyond expectations. We loved it and will rent again.

Relaxing and Quiet

This home was very pleasant and comfortable. Everything you needed was available. The beds were very comfortable and the home was well appointed. Great location to Morganton or Marion. And very close to great hiking and nature walks.

Just what we needed

Loves the cabin. Fresh baked cookies were such a nice touch. Extra items like coffee, sugar etc. was wonderful. Looks very recently remodeled, but still maintains the ambiance of a cabin.

Perfect piece of paradise

The cabin was perfect, exactly as described. Very clean, we even had fresh baked cookies waiting on us. The cabin is very isolated but full cell service and a short drive from civilization. The property owners were fantastic. .

Mountain Retreat

The cabin was beautiful. The head heights into certain doors are a little bit short but if you pay attention the rest of the cabin is wonderful. It is perfect for a weekend get away and the owners were very helpful with any questions we had and gave us tips and recommendations on places in the area to go to. Check out was simple.

Class getaway.

This place was perfect for what we needed. A small group of us wanted to attend a weekend class and needed a place to stay. We found a clean home that was well equipped with everything we needed. We had no issues with the home or finding the place. It was about a 10 minute drive from the night life as well. I would stay here again.

Cleanest Little Fairy House!

2 adults and 3 children stayed here 5 nights and it couldn’t have been more perfect. This place was immaculate and they had so many food staples it was easy to cook meals. There was a heat wave, so we didn’t spend much time outside, but there was ample shade, pretty landscaping, grill, fire pit & wood. Internet was fast even with 5 people online at times. We had kids going to camp at NCSSM and it was about a 15 min, easy drive. Easily one of my most favorite stays.
