The Space:
*Please note: the apartment has recently been refurbished and we're still updating some furnishings, but the layout is still as described. Photos will be updated soon! Thank you for your patience.*
This 1,400 sq ft of space is on the top floor of a three-story apartment building in the ever-so-charming LE PLATEAU neighborhood. You'll have a wonderful private balcony overlooking Avenue Mont-Royal, which will be the highlight of your stay. The apartment is perfect for friends, groups or remote workers, as you’ll be within walking distance about all you’d need.
Main spaces of the apartment:
- An open, stylish and comfortable living space with sofa seating, and a flatscreen HDTV. It’s a prime spot for downtime moments at home.
- A fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances and all you'd need to prepare meals. Plus, essential extras like a coffee maker and toaster.
- A dining table to seat 6 comfortably to enjoy meals at home. You can also use the table as a laptop workspace, too, if needed.
- 3 bedrooms with a chic design, comfortable beds, and quality bed linens and a full bathroom (towels provided) to accommodate 11 guests as such:
BEDROOM 1: 2 Queen beds + 1 Twin/Single bed
BEDROOM 2: 1 Queen & 1 floor mattress (<--soon it will have 2 Twin/Single beds & we'll update then)
BEDROOM 3: 1 Double bed + 1 Twin/Single bed
**Please let us know if you need the floor mattress, so we can provide extra bed sheets.**
- Additional amenities include: reliable WiFi, air conditioning for the summer months, heat for the winter months, and laundry facilities in the corridor (shared with 1 other apartment), which has a washing machine, dryer and some laundry detergent provided.
The LE PLATEAU neighborhood has a wonderful ambiance and is one of the trendiest areas of Montreal. You’ll be in the center of it all, right on Mont-Royal Avenue and walking distance to Saint-Denis Street and Saint-Laurent Blvd, all famous destination streets lined with casual cafes, laid-back eateries, lively bars, galleries, theaters, shops, and boutiques.
During the summer month, this area features "pedestrian-only" streets. Mont-Royal then becomes closed to traffic and become a long linear park, perfect for lazy strolls, rest stops, eating, drinking, shopping and fun summertime moments. This apartment is also a 5-min walk to La Fontaine and Sir-Wilfried-Laurier Parks, perfect for a morning stroll with your animals.

The Neighborhood:
The apartment is in the trendy area of Le Plateau, one of the most fun areas in the city with tree-lined picturesque streets. It's a visitor favorite, for sure! You'll be right on Mont-Royal Avenue and walking distance from Saint-Denis Street & Saint-Laurent Blvd, famous destination streets lined with casual cafes, laid-back eateries, lively bars, galleries, theaters, shops & boutiques. You'll find several parks nearby, most notable: Mount Royal, a landmark mountain and park with a year-round lookout and sweeping views of the city & Parc La Fontaine, with beautiful views surrounded by nature, recreational activity, a dog park and more. Both are great for a great place to unwind, get exercise or picnic. You'll also be close to Old Montreal (about 3.4 km|2 miles) to soak in some culture and just 700 | 0.4 miles from public transportation (Mont-Royal metro station) for easy mobility around the city.

ATTRACTIONS:
- Old Montreal (3.4 km/2.1 mi): a flashback to the 17th century with narrow cobblestone streets, lively plazas, charming shops & cafes. Plus, landmarks like Notre-Dame Basilica & Pointe-à-Callière Museum & along the St. Lawrence River, you’ll find the Montreal Science Center & the iconic Clock Tower.
- The Bell Centre (4.7 km/2.9 mi), hockey & concert venue, across the street from the 1250 René-Lévesque skyscraper.
- During most of the summer, Mont-Royal Ave is close to traffic and becomes a lively pedestrian avenue filled with restaurant terraces and activities.
Getting Around:
The nearest metro station is about 700 meters | 0.4 miles away and the apartment is 22.4 km/14 mi or 25 minutes away from the Montréal-Trudeau Int'l Airport (YUL).
PARKING: If you want to park your car on the street, please pay attention to the signs. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PARKING FINES OR TICKETS.
Other Things to Note:
Please note this unit is located in an old building, like most short-term licensed buildings in Montreal, and all the buildings in the Plateau-Mont Royal neighborhood - which is what makes this area so appealing to visitors. It is not a recently built condo (there are very few new condos in the city of Montreal and they don't have license to host on Airbnb). Please expect small inconveniences such as old guillotine windows that may require something to hold them open, floors that will not be perfectly flat, AC is not central. During winter months the windows will have an extra insulating plastic layer to prevent cold drafts. Nevertheless this unit is professionally cleaned and maintained.
Please note, all the units in this building are managed by us and we can accommodate up to 35 guests in 5 different apartments, spread across 2 floors. If you are coming with a large group, please contact us to receive a personalized offer.
PARKING: If you want to park your car on the street, please pay attention to the signs. Parking is generally paid on main avenues such as Ave Mont-Royal. Most secondary streets in the area are reserved for permit holders only. You purchase one permit for $8 every 24 hrs and enter the code PMR02 in any parking kiosk (please remember to leave the permit on your dashboard). WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PARKING FINES OR TICKETS.
The air conditioning system is attached to the window frames, and removed during winter season to ensure an optimal temperature and prevent cold air leaks inside the apartment. For this reason, we install the AC system in May and remove it and seal the windows in October (approximate dates). If you would like to know whether the air conditioning amenity will be available during your stay, please ask us in advance so we can inform you. There is no AC available during the winter months.
The apartment is certified by the Corporation de l'industrie Touristique du Québec and GST and QST are included in the price. For business travelers, we can provide an invoice for tax deductions.
We provide some essentials to make you feel more at home when you arrive: trash bags in all trash cans, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, and dish soap. Please note that these items are not replenished. If you run out, you’ll need to purchase more.
House Rules:
- Check-in starts at 18:00 (6 pm) & check out is 11 am.
- Guests will need to climb two flights of stairs as the apartment is on the 3rd floor.
- Please keep children supervised at the common corridor and stairs to prevent falls.
- Travelers must be at least 21 years old to book.
- Guests will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation.
- Guests might be required to present an official ID at check-in or during the stay.
- No more guests than those listed on the reservation are allowed.
- Depending on the booking site to make the reservation, a security deposit might be required, refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
- No smoking of any kind inside the home! Drug use and illegal activity on the premises are also strictly prohibited. Failure to comply results in a $300 fine.
- No parties, events, or excessive noise after 10 pm. Please respect the neighbors. The area has great restaurants and clubs where you can continue past 10 pm.
- To help us keep a good relationship with our community and monitor guest compliance with house rules, the apartment is equipped with a MINUT device; a noise sensor that measures decibel levels (not a recording device), a signal detection sensor that counts the number of devices in the apartment at any one time (it does not access any personal information) to detect occupancy in the home, and a smoke detector approved by Airbnb.
- In the event of excessive noise, power to the unit will be shut off.
- Please do not tamper with or disconnect any devices.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or an extra-cleaning charge if such is needed after their stay.
- Pet-friendly, max 2 pets, and pets are not allowed to be on the sofas or beds. No pet fees apply, but if additional cleaning is needed, you will be required to pay an additional fee. Aggressive or dangerous animals are not allowed.
- No shoes can be worn inside the house.
Please note that candles, incense or any other burnable object with flames inside the property are strictly prohibited.
- Guests are responsible for any fines, penalties or consequences that result from the guest's actions or violations of the house rules.

Interaction with Guests:
You can check yourself in by entering a code on a panel beside the street door and another code to open both the third-floor area and the apartment. The codes will be provided to you before arrival.
You’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but we're available 7 days a week. Should you need anything, just send us a message.
