Do not expect much when staying at the Spark Hotel. It’s more like a University dorm. Yes, the room is clean but that’s the only positive you will find. The staff seem like they are waiting for a better job and so it reflects in their current position. Housekeeping was missed and when I asked for fresh towels because our room was not clean, we have housekeeping the next morning hammering so hard on our room door that we were startled awake and how to say ‘sorry, we are still sleeping!!’ Ruined the whole experience there. Breakfast was a huge disappointment to say the least. Stale store bought, small, muffins, only put out each time in small amounts. Nothing warm at all, hard boiled eggs provided but cold and zero protein otherwise provided. Coffee was ok, but again the cups provided were an absolute joke. And again the staff at breakfast were irritated to be there, don’t bother asking for anything or get in their way. Paper plates and disposable forks and knives. Fruit provided was also a mere joke, banged up bananas or old, mealy apples. Only those two options. I will never stay here again, also not near anything like the Metro or sites…it’s literally on the busiest streets with an on ramp to the hwy in front of the building. Yes, it was priced economically but that’s what you get, don’t expect more then a hostel type stay.
