Just 1 km from the owners’ house, nestled in a secret clearing in the woods, this magnificent 400 m² estate invites you to relax and enjoy conviviality. Comprising a main house and a carefully renovated barn, it offers a warm and authentic setting.

Located in the "Les Orfeuilles" estate in Monthou-sur-Cher, this exceptional place is passionately managed by Stéphanie and David de Schrynmakers, who will be delighted to warmly welcome you.
A getaway for respectful families and couples:
This place is reserved for those who will appreciate and respect the beauty and integrity of this precious setting. Young people under 30, parties, evening events, or weddings are not permitted, in order to preserve the peace and magic of the site.
Booking conditions:
• The rate is listed per person on our website.
• If you wish to host more people, an additional fee of €50 per night per person will be charged upon arrival.
• For a weekend stay: arrival between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, departure in the late afternoon on Sunday.
• For a week: arrival from 4 p.m. on Saturday, departure at 9:30 a.m. the following Saturday.
• Upon departure, a security deposit of €1,000 will be requested and refunded if everything is in order.
• Consumption costs (electricity, water, heating) will be settled based on actual usage, with a metering system at check-in and check-out for fair and transparent billing, especially with the advent of electric vehicles.
We look forward to introducing you to this magical place, where every detail has been thoughtfully designed to ensure an unforgettable stay filled with relaxation, sharing, and gentle moments.

Séjour Châteaux de la Loire

Location bien située au cœur des châteaux de la Loire, , confortable, propre, chambres avec salles de bains privatives appréciées, emplacement au calme en pleine nature avec le bruit des coucous*, disponibilité et écoute de Stéphanie.A noter piscine non testée car non démarrée à cette époque de l'année, maison isolée avec un accès sur chemin rural.Nous recommandons cette location.

Wunderschönes Haus mit toller Umgebung

Das Haus, bzw. das Haupt- und Gästehaus ist wunderschön, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber, super ausgestattet. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, man hat seine absolute Ruhe und kann ausgedehnte Spaziergänge in den Wäldern machen. Eine Auto ist Voraussetzung um die tollen Städten, Restaurants und Schlösser zu erkunden. Stephanie ist ein super Gastgeberin, sehr aufmerksam, immer hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Das Haus ist eine absolute Empfehlung!!!

Familienfeier mit 9 Personen

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Stephanie ist eine sehr nette und professionell agierende Gastgeberin. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und ist für eine große Gruppe sehr gut geeignet. Der Pool könnte sauberer sein. Trotzdem werden wir in jedem Fall noch einmal buchen.

Amazing trip

We have all had an amazing time at this property. Stephanie was fantastic with communication in the run up to our trip, and once we arrived we couldn't have had a better time. The location was ideal and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and spend time together. I miss it already!

Vraiment très bien.

On est resté 3 jours sans bouger à 8 avec nos chiens. Environnement parfait au calme. Tout est fait pour passer un séjour sublime. Le seul léger bémol concerne le liner de la piscine et sa propreté. Cela ne nous a pas empêché de nous baigner. On recommande

A wonderful retreat in Loire Valley

Special Family Holiday

We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with three generations of our family (7 adults and 4 children). Gite des Orfeuilles met and exceeded our expectations. The setting is remote but incredibly tranquil, secluded and beautiful. It is a bit of a trek to the nearest supermarkets but we somehow turned this into an 'event'. Daily bread deliveries are reliable and early - and we discovered that the boulangerie also makes fantastic croissant, pain au chocolate and other goodies. . The gite complex offered everything we needed to be self-contained and fully occupied. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so the pool was in constant use, but there were plenty of other diversions on offer for our grandchildren (such as boule, tennis, fishing, table tennis and space for the many games we brought with us) - and the separation from neighbours meant we never worried about the noise the kids made. The situation is also perfect for outings to sightsee, canoe and soak up the Loire/Cher region. Stephanie and David are charming, attentive and effective hosts. The arrival chat was friendly, informative and helpful, as were the information book and tourist leaflets in the house. Later in the week minor problems were quickly and effectively resolved without fuss. Checking out was straightforward - and it felt a little like saying goodbye to newly made friends. If this is the sort of break you are looking for, I can't recommend it highly enough; we loved it..

Family holiday

This house was perfect for a big family gathering. The pool was great, the house was well stocked with plates and glasses etc. and having two separate houses made it very easy for all age groups. Large comfy beds, lots of bathrooms. Thank you!

Great family vacation

The property is ideal for families with 2 spacious homes to allow for great family enjoyment. We all enjoyed the large property and especially the pool where the kids spent a lot of their time. You must order the baguettes and the croissants to complete the experience. Stephanie and David are excellent hosts.

Fantastische verblijf!

Een heerlijk vakantieverblijf gehad, verdeeld over twee woningen. Het is ruim, luxe, iedereen heeft een eigen badkamer en alles is aanwezig. Het zwembad is geweldig, ook ruim genoeg voor grotere kinderen, er is een pingpong tafel, jeux de boules, kortom, je hoeft je niet te vervelen.

Calmissime

Un domaine incroyable pour un repos au calme avec toute la famille. Malgré une météo peu favorable, tout était prévu pour ne pas s'ennuyer et vivre une semaine de vraies vacances. Merci à nos hôtes toujours disponibles et d'une gentillesse peu commune dans cette période COVID difficile.

Exceptionnel et magique !!

Nous avons séjourné en famille et avec des amis dans la propriété de Stéphanie du 11 au 25 Juillet 2020. Les maisons se trouvent au milieu d'une clairière entourée d'arbres et d'animaux sauvages. Ces dernières sont très confortables et parfaitement équipées. Le domaine de Stéphanie s'étend sur plusieurs hectares ou vous êtes libres de courir, de faire du vélo, de vous balader, de pêcher et de faire du tennis. C'est un véritable paradis pour ceux qui sont en quête de vacances sportives et en contact permanent avec la nature. Stéphanie est très avenante et aux petits soins pour ses hôtes. Les maisons sont d'une grande propreté et la literie excellente. Ici tout n'est que luxe, calme et volupté. Nous y retournerons.......
