Time Honored Adobe Home - Sweeping Ocean View.

Majestically situated on Point Lobos Ridge, this home offers the most incredible white-water and ocean views of Carmel and Pebble Beach imaginable. The home is positioned to take advantage of the natural wonders of the central coast. Experience being perched high above the fog most days. Sunrises and Sunsets are 360 degrees and Carmel Village lights up the night below as the fog thread’s it’s way through the Valley. Thousands of acres of California State Parks open space surround the property, with oceanfront hiking at Point Lobos State Park at the entrance to the road leading to the property. Vast open space precludes distraction, creating an abundance of stars and planet viewing.

You will walk into a time honored original Post Adobe home which was recently restored to it's original condition.

Enjoy the warm of 80 year old first growth redwood post & beam construction. Original mahogany ceiling planks provide a wonderful contrast to the open beam ceiling.

The Chef's appointed kitchen and Freestanding, original adobe fireplace can be the perfect place to add warmth and texture to your vacation stay.

An open floor plan provides plenty of room for good conversation and relaxing. The Kitchen, dining and living areas are all open as part of the great room experience.
We will do everything possible to make this a memorable experience that will endure a lifetime.

We own and operate our home in compliance with Monterey County requirements. The taxes included in the amount you paid when reserving our home are forwarded to the Monterey County Tax Collector under. Certificate No. 000613

We had a wonderful two week stay at this secluded Adobe cottage in the hills overlooking Carmel. The weather was cold at the beginning, so we enjoyed reading by the warmth of the LR fire which burned real wood amply provided. Once the clouds parted the temperatures rose into the 60s and we enjoyed morning gourmet coffee overlooking breathtaking views of mountains and sea. Lou was very responsive to our every need and his cleaning lady sweetly allowed us a grace period the day we packed up to leave. A unique & very special hideaway.

This is a magical place in all aspects. The view was incredible and the house had everything we needed. We were content staying at the property all day but it’s also close yo so many beautiful sites…point lobos, Garrapata, Carmel, etc…. I will definitely be staying again. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend stay!

This was the most magical place to stay. The view from the property is absolutely breathtaking, the photos don’t do it justice. My partner and I came here for our anniversary and it was the perfect escape from the city. The place is extremely cozy and roomy, and it has everything you need to cook out - we made steaks on the grill and the setup outside made for a perfect sunset dinner. Location is super convenient right across from Point Lobos if you’re in for a hike, or 10-15 min to Carmel if you’re looking to go explore there. One thing I would recommend is getting there before sunset - the directions to go up to the property are easy to follow, but it’s extremely dark and windy roads. Will hopefully come back again soon, we absolutely loved our stay!

Beautiful views of Carmel-by-the-sea and Carmel Valley. Location somewhat inconvenient due to a 2 mile uphill winding narrow road that is in disrepair. Quiet and secure.Mattress rather soft. Took 2 dogs and yard not fenced so had to be on a leash when outside.

We felt like we had stepped back in time in the cozy home, except with all of the modern amenities and luxuries! This "vintage", cozy home was so welcoming and so comfortable. We even had fresh flowers on our arrival. It is a drive up a mountain a bit and out of town but the respite from busy days was ideal for us. Would love to stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The views were even more appealing than the listing can do justice to. We really enjoyed being inside and outside while we were there and taking in all that Carmel and the surrounding areas offered. Lou was great to work with throughout the process. Just as advertised. The property was well maintained with a comfortable rustic charm. The kitchen was excellent and the beds comfortable. The location was just amazing. I’ve been all over the world and this is one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever visited. Would definitely recommend 6 stars out of 5!

Breathtaking!

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home high in the hills overlooking the ocean and Carmel. The photos in the listing give you just a hint at the stunning scenery that envelops you - it was unbelievable. The home itself was comfortable and well appointed, nicely decorated. I really appreciated the privacy. It had everything I could have wanted for my stay. I loved it so much I started planning my next trip while I was still there. Spectacular!

This house feels LOVED!

This is a lovely house, with a great kitchen for cooking! Also the bathroom is so nice, with heated floors and bidet, quite a step up from your typical short term rental. Lou was very responsive whenever I had a question. It’s in a beautiful location but it is a bit of a drive to get up there (price to pay for peace and quiet and a view!), just so people are aware.

Great Christmas stay

A beautiful home to stay in, in all weather, set in extraordinary landscape of sea forests and wildlife . We had a wonderful family Christmas , great cooking , open fires in the evenings and walks along the coastal paths and beaches.

Perfection

Heaven on earth! Looking out I loved seeing the ocean to the left while my husband enjoyed the mountains to the right. We were so comfortable and the views so special that we were never in a hurry to leave. The pots of plants inside and out added an extra touch.

Unique property with panoramic views

Grew up in Carmel. 30 yrs worth. I can say that the location and privacy with fantastic views of the Pacific/ Carmel and Mission Beach are outstanding as well as views out Carmel Valley. Charming home that has a wonderful kitchen along with nice bath and comfortable bedrooms. Having stayed in just about every location and type of homes on the Monterey Peninsula, I can say that this property is special. The drive up the hill to the top takes about 5-6 minutes. Not bad. From the bottom of the hill your are 5 minutes to groceries and dining. The owner is responsive and polite. A real pleasure ! Bring your binoculars...
