Gite Bellevue Cottage : A little paradise in Gascony!

At the end of a country lane, at the top of a hill offering a 360 ° view of the surrounding nature, is our cottage. It is a cottage completely renovated and comprising 2 bedrooms each with its own bathroom or shower room. It is about 50 meters from our house, separated from us by the pool of our property which measures 12x5 meters. The cottage has a private terrace without any opposite, perfect for dinner in the evening or midday, or to relax while contemplating the breathtaking view. The kitchen is fully equipped, and overlooks a large double room including a dining room and a living room with a wood stove. Upstairs, the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms offer the possibility to increase the number of possible beds to 5 (by adding, or not, a single bed in one of them.) The rooms are served by a staircase then a corridor that also opens onto a balcony where you can have your coffee or read while admiring the surrounding countryside. Moncrabeau is the nearest village, barely 1.4 km away, it has a municipal swimming pool, tennis courts, an associative café / grocery store selling fruits and vegetables as well as bread or cheese and other local products. It is a lively village, a small market is held on Friday mornings. If you do a few more kilometers, we are ideally placed between 2 very lively cities: Condom and Nérac, and in the middle of a multitude of villages more charming than each other like Fleurance, Saint Clar, Lectoure or even nearer La Romieu. Most of these towns and villages have delicious restaurants and quaint and lively farmers' markets. Near our cottage you will also find the waterways of the Base, and castles some of which offer days or tasting tours around the theme of Armagnac and wine.

The cottage has been renovated and decorated to make you feel at home, and when we bought the property we hesitated to choose it instead of the main house so much we found it warm. It is a paradise where you will spend a stay far from the tumult and the daily pressure, and from which you will leave re-energized! We also offer a total disconnect option at your request, for a stay back to the sources with family or friends, do not hesitate to ask us questions!

Top vakantie

Heerlijke vakantieweek gehad! Huisje was piekfijn in orde en voldeed ruimschoots aan onze verwachtingen. Zéér mooi uitzicht en ook het zwembad was tiptop in orde. Fréderique en Stéphane waren vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. Het was puur genieten!

Paradise revisted

We loved our stay so much last year we returned for more. Our second visit did not disappoint - it really is a little paradise. Our trip highlight was a visit to the Abbaye de Flaran .... the current art exhibition included some amazing sculptures by Dali. Thanks to Frederique for the recommendation and everything else.

Agréable séjour à Moncrabeau

Nous avons été merveilleusement accueillis par Frédérique et Stéphane. La location est superbe au milieu de la nature dans un magnifique paysage. Seul bemol: le temps qui ne nous a pas permis de profiter de la piscine. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Le bonheur est fait maison chez Frédérique et Stéphane

De merveilleuses vacances dans un gîte exquis, un endroit idyllique, au calme, avec une vue à 360° sur la nature et les merveilleux paysages vallonnés aux alentours. La maison est charmante en vieilles pierres, très bien équipée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Une piscine splendide dans un grand jardin magnifiquement entretenu qui appelle à la « farniente ». Ce qui rend cet endroit merveilleux et le fait qu’on s’y sent bien, c’est l’atout charme de nos hôtes Frédérique et Stéphane ! Rien que pour leur gentillesse, leur générosité, la bienveillance, les petites attentions à l’arrivée et leur envie de donner le meilleur d’eux-mêmes pour rendre votre séjour parfait …… Ce gîte mériterait une 6ème étoile ! Nous étions tristes au moment de repartir et nous y reviendrons très certainement prochainement. Une adresse que nous recommandons chaleureusement.

Un petit coin de paradis …

Nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances. Le gîte est magnifique, confortable, fonctionnel, et surtout très bien équipé. La piscine et les extérieurs sont quant à eux juste exceptionnels. Repos et détente assuré ! Les hôtes étaient accueillants, discrets, bienveillants et aussi de très bons conseils. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans ce petit coin de paradis ressourçant et nous recommandons à 100% ce logement !

A treat of a gite!

A beautiful property in a peaceful location with just the sound of the occasional tractor and chicken! Views all around us and super hosts. We were made to feel so welcome but also respected our privacy. The gite was so comfortable with everything in it we needed. Such lovely extra treats supplied on our arrival. Weather was perfect and the pool a luxury. We highly recommend this property.

Bellevue indeed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bellevue Cottage. It couldn’t be more aptly named with its amazing position and lovely views all round. The stunning cottage, which couldn’t be anywhere but France, was equally lovely inside and had all the essential equipment and very effective air con. The pool was as inviting as it looks in the photos. The swimmer had a lovely time whilst the non-swimmer enjoyed feeding the chickens! There are beautiful villages and towns within an easy drive, our favourite being the historic La Romieu, where we made it (just) to the top of the stone spiral staircase in the church. Well worth the 6 Euro entry fee. Frédérique was extremely helpful, and we hope to return as soon as we can. Ken (Chickens) and Sarah (Swimmer)

Even better than the photos

Our host, Frederique was so kind and helpful. From the time we first booked the gite she provided us with suggestions to enhance our stay, such as the fun Bandas festival in nearby Condom. Upon arrival we were delighted to discover that the views from the property are even more lovely than the photos on the listing suggest. The gite was in perfect order and it was obvious that it had been properly refreshed prior to check-in. The very generous welcome package that is provided by Frederique and Stephane is way beyond the usual...all of the basics were in place for us and there was also an unexpected selection of gourmet quality local products. (To top things off, Frederique surprised us with a lovely decoration in her basket to acknowledge us as her first Canadian guests. ) The gite itself is modern and comfortable inside, with nice furniture, comfortable beds and reliable plumbing. The weather during our visit was too cold for swimming, yet the pool was always kept crystal clean. Condom and Nerac are both an easy drive from the property and the area abounds with pretty and unique villages that are all worth a visit. Our hosts actively work with their farming neighbours and participate in local associations in nearby Moncrabeau, and so Frederique was able to teach us much about the surrounding community. This greatly enriched our stay. If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable vacation in a beautiful part of rural France, then don't hesitate to stay here.

Magnifique!!

Wow! We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful, well-appointed gîte. The views from the gîte are spectacular. Frédérique and Stéphane could not have been more welcoming and helpful. They directed us to some charming villages in the area and to a wonderful ice cream shop in Larresingle. Don’t miss it! We also enjoyed a Karaoke night at the local campground and a dinner and a concert nearby. Many thanks, Frédérique and Stéphane, for your warmth and hospitality. Bisous!😊

Sehr entspannender Urlaub in sehr schöner Umgebung

Das Haus war noch schöner, als beschrieben, Pool Klasse, Aussicht wunderbar. Sehr ruhig gelegen! Brot und Kleinigkeiten sowie mindestens ein gutes Restaurant (haben hier nur „Le Phase de Jeanne“ probiert) direkt in Moncrabeau. 15 - 30 min in so ziemlich jede Richtung nette Orte zu entdecken und weitere gute Restaurants zu finden. Frédérique und Stephan sind liebevolle Gastgeber. Immer hilfsbereit und immer diskret. Auf eine Frage haben Sie immer genau den Tip, den man gesucht hat. Bonus: Anfang Juli haben wir auf der Wiese eine 5-köpfige Familie von Wiedehöpfen (das sind Vögel😀) gesehen. Sieht man vielleicht nicht immer, aber Natur ist immer sehr viel da. Wir fahren in dieser Ferienwoche eigentlich jedes Jahr an einen neuen Ort, aber hier überlegen wir, wieder zu kommen. Auf jeden Fall ist das für die beschriebene Art von Urlaub der perfekte Ort - oder wie Frédérique und Stephan -zu recht- sagen: ein kleines Paradies.

Heaven on Earth

We were determined to return to Bellevue after our wonderful holiday last year. The surprise was that this year was even better! Stephane and Frederique have made improvements including a blender/mini food processor in the kitchen and better gravel on the terrasses. They were kindness personified, supplying us with produce from their garden and a chilled bottle of wine on arrival. Now we can’t wait for 2022 so we can return to this amazing place.

Wat een uitzicht!

Wat een mooie gite, een prachtig uitzicht en een fijn zwembad! We hebben het heerlijk gehad. Ontzettend aardige en vriendelijke eigenaren. Altijd bereid om te helpen. Atemberaubende Aussicht in ruhiger Idylle

Le gîte est très confortable, la piscine très agréable, le paysage est époustouflant, la région magnifique, toutes les conditions sont réunies pour passer de très très bonnes vacances. Les propriétaires sont très attentionnés, ils ont à cœur que le séjour se passe bien. Ils sont super attentionnés avec toute la famille.
