Ideally situated in beautiful Menton, ‘La Terrasse du Soleil’ is a wonderfully romantic sea view pied-à-terre in a the ‘Belle Epoque’ building with typical high ceilings and moldings. It is decorated in a Nordic and vintage style and provides everything you need to enjoy a quintessential vacation on the French Riviera.

Our beachside pied-à-terre is located on the famous ‘Promenade du Soleil’ and faces the beach named ‘Plage du Fossan’. It is only a few minutes away from restaurants, museums, Menton’s historic places such as the Basilic, the market and city center. Shopping streets are just a few minutes away…You do not need a car but if you choose so, there are numerous city parkings or an optional parking spot (upon availability & reservation).

‘La Terrasse du Soleil’ will provide you with everything you need to enjoy a quintessential vacation on the French Riviera. Whether you're interested in spending hot Summer days on the beach or on the deck to enjoy a glass of wine & a good book, or walk into town to visit the historical buildings and district, enjoy a great meal or evening entertainment our city has to offer, we know you will love our Riviera escape as much as we do.

This home can accommodate up to 4 guests and has 3 bedrooms

- The master bedroom has 2 twin beds that are linked together so they don't separate and has 2 new pieces of furniture for better storage.

- The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms each have a single bed. As can be seen on the pictures, the 3rd bedroom is small and has no window opening on to the outside. It is therefore advised for children.

- 1 bathroom with a nice shower with a chic beige marble floor.

- To allow you to travel with light luggage, sheets, shower & beach towels, as well as dish towels are provided. Similarly, to ensure your holiday remains relaxing and to avoid the fatigue of cleaning at the end of your stay, professional cleaning fees (apartment & linens) will be requested upon arrival. 2025 rate: €160 (cash only as we do not have a credit card terminal)

- for travelers with a young child, it is possible to have a baby crib, a baby bathtub & baby transat (upon reservation & availability). Please inquire when booking. You will also appreciate the kid playground (free) that is 150m from the residence.

- a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven and of course a fridge, a boiler and a coffee machine (regular French style with paper filter)

- a spacious living area with a large dining table to seat 6 and a TV (fiber) with French and internationales channels.

As we love authentic things, we kept the original, well taken care of, wooden floor in both the livingroom and the kitchen .

From this large room, you access 'La Terrasse' where it is so nice to seat and enjoy a private sunbath or just have a drink watching the beach . Whether it is during the day, late afternoon or in the evening with candle lights, 'La Terrasse' is a privileged place to enjoy Menton.

For the hot sunny summer day, the awing will provide the necessary shade and the outside shower some refreshment..

As it is protected from the main Winter wind, it is also a wonderful spot to enjoy the colorful bright lights of Menton' sunny winter days.

The area also has plenty to offer: from bike treks in the surrounding mountains to visit nearby Monte Carlo, Italy or typical Provençal villages…but you may just want to spend most of your time on the sofas of the beautiful covered sundeck overlooking the ocean and admire the panoramic view of the crystal turquoise Mediterranean …

To allow you to enjoy every single day of you vacations, avoid traffic jams and/or enjoy the best airfares, we allow guests to check-in and check-out every day of the week,

Forget your car for your entire stay, the holiday begins!! For those who come by car, we offer parking (fees apply, subject to availability and prior reservation).

Although we are pretty flexible, we ask check-in to be upon appointment and before 8pm.

Catherine or Philippe will welcome each guest in person, and introduce both the apartment and our beloved town, therefore we kindly ask that you inform them (via the website email) of your expected time of arrival as soon as possible so an appointment can be set up.

Great location, fantastic patio and roomy apartment

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is fantastic and we were on the patio whenever we were at the apartment and enjoyed several meals and snacks while enjoying the sunshine, the sea and the beach. Merci!

Super Wohnung mit minimalen Abstrichen

Kurz gesagt: Alles in allem gut bis sehr gut. Die Wohnung hat aus unserer Sicht eine perfekte Lage. Alles für den täglichen Gebrauch in direkter Umgebung. Wunderschöner Ausblick. Allerdings muss man seinen Parkplatz separat in der öffentlichen TG buchen was preislich nochmal oben drauf kommt. Da wir im Dezember/Januar da waren ist es etwas „kühl“ gewesen. Es gibt zwar eine Heizung aber nicht in jedem Raum. Dafür hat das Bad ein Fenster. Allerdings wenig Ablagefläche, was bei 4 Personen etwas knapp war. Die Betten sind uns etwas zu hart gewesen, aber noch erträglich.

Excellent terrace and location, but no AC

An originally furnished apartment next to the beach. Unfortunately there was no Air Condition installed. We had small electric fans in the bedrooms, but it was not at all enough as the temperature was more than 30 degrees Celsius during our stay.

A real pearl!

We had a wonderful holiday in Menton with surroundings. The appartement was really beautiful and the balcony with its wonderful view gave us great pleasure several times a day. It’s easy to get around by bus or train. We walked a lot around the neighborhood and visited both the old Menton, Cap Martin and Roquebrune village. By bus and train we went to Monaco, Nice and Ventimiglia in Italie. We had a marvelous stay! Merci à Catherine pour l’accueil merveilleux! Cordialement, la famille Karlsson de Suède 🇸🇪🇫🇷

Appartement ancien et rénové avec goût. Vraiment à nos goûts avec des ancien meubles design et de belles œuvres sur les mur. Simple et fantastique. La terrasse est juste superbe. et près de tout, vieille ville, bon restaurants, plages et pas si loin de la gare.

Just what we needed

I don't think I can begin to summarize our stay at La Terrasse du Soleil. All around an excellent experience. The location of the property could not be any more ideal. The views fantastic, the water inviting, and the ambience of the apt perfect. Our host Catherine was both accommodating and informative. I would highly recommend this listing. Make sure you take advantage of the sundeck.

Superbe Appart Design au bord de la promenade

Très bel appartement ou nous nous sommes sentis en vacances dès le premier pas. La situation au bord de la promenade, le Design, le grand balcon face à la mer.... Top. L'appartement a beaucoup de charme et est bien équipé avec des ustensiles de cuisines en bon état et utilisables. Accueil très pro et amical de Catherine qui nous a donné plein d'idées de sorties aux alentours. Idéal pour un couple ou couple avec un enfant. On se sent très bien dans cet appartement cosy. A noter l'absence de climatisation, qui n'est pas forcement un point négatif et aussi l'absence de machine a laver le linge, qui nous aurait manquée si nous étions resté un jour de plus. Pensez absolument à confirmer votre heure d'arrivée à Catherine - même si c'est pas toujours facile... Bref nous recommendons chaleureusement et espérons pouvoir revenir bientôt. Accueil super chaleureux de Catherine😁, de bons conseils pour le séjour, l'appartement est sympa, petit bémol il n'y a pas de micro ondes et de quoi laver son linge mais on s'adapte. L'endroit est très joli et l'appartement est très bien situé face à la mer et à deux pas de la ville. A venir voir🙂

Great location, beautiful terrace view, close to everything

We got a very warm welcome from Catherine, who also gave us some great tips on what to see during our stay. The location of the apartment is outstanding - 1 minute from the beach, and 1 minute from the main shopping/restaurant street. Menton is literally on your doorstep. From the spacious terrace, you overlook the lush garden below and the beach (just 50 metres away), with views of palm trees in the evening sunset, people promenading back and forth with an ice cream, and the gentle comings and goings of guests in the hotel gardens right next door. The apartment is light and airy with high ceilings, and is well-maintained, beautifully decorated, and comfortably equipped - though we found the mattresses a little bit firm for our tastes. The convenient location of this apartment (and the great rail connections) meant we could spend 8 days in Menton without a car, simply using the trains to visit the beautiful coastal towns and beaches. We would definitely return.

Notre séjour à Menton

L'emplacement de l'appartement en plein centre et en front de mer avec une très belle terrasse face à la mer est parfait. Il n'y a rien à dire sur les équipements. Une petite réserve s'agissant de la deuxième chambre vraiment très petite si bien que la porte ne peut se fermer et de la première chambre plutôt destinée à un enfant qu'à un un adulte. Par ailleurs la chaleur dans l'appartement était un peu pénible

Everything you could want

Had a fabulous 6 days. Apartment is i. a great location; stunning view from the balcony and walkable to all the restaurants as well as multiple beaches and shops. Menton is a stunning town, and the apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Check in process was great as well.

Très bel emplacement

Nous avons été très bien accueilli. Catherine et Philippe sont très réactifs en cas de besoin, avec beaucoup de gentillesse. C'est véritablement un très bel emplacement au coeur de la ville et face à la mer. La terrasse est vraiment le must de cet appartement. Et l'on peut véritablement profiter de Menton sans avoir à prendre la voiture. Très appréciable. Petit bémol. Pas de machine à laver. Ce n'est pas indiqué dans l'annonce. Donc rien à dire. Mais c'est vrai que l'on n'a pas forcément le coup d'oeil, tant c'est un appareil habituellement présent dans les logements. Le ballon d'eau chaude s'est plusieurs fois mis en sécurité. A quatre personne, c'était un peu juste. La chambre sans fenêtre est vraiment très petite. Mais nous avons pu transférer le lit dans la seconde chambre pour faire un lit deux places comme dans la grande. Cele se fait assez facilement (petite astuce si deux couples !). Enfin, pour la place de parking, nous nous y sommes pris trop tard. Je pense malgré tout que cela ne doit pas être aisé de réserver avec la configuration de l'immeuble. Il faut compter un peu moins de 100 euros la semaine (en avril) pour poser la voiture dans un parking tout proche. Pour finir, nous avons passé une très bonne semaine. Que du bonheur d'être au coeur de Ville à proximité de tout et avec la mer face à soi. Nous recommandons.
