Hours after checkout they charged $180 to our card and when questioned they stated we “damaged the curtain sheers” when asking if they had proof or photos or even a log on when we entered/exited our room to prove we were hardly there during daylight hours, they replied no to all questions and wouldn’t provide any form of proof. They have been difficult to work with in navigating this outrageous “damage” charge that I ended up just filing a dispute with the bank. This put a huge financial strain on us as we were traveling out of state and their lack of understanding or empathy with the issue almost made the charge seem calculated and strategic and it’s not their first time executing an outrageous, untrue charge. A sad ending after visiting family we haven’t seen in 10+ years. We’ll never stay at a double tree or Hilton again.
