  • The house features five identical apartments in the heart of Polače, designed for simplicity and comfort. Each apartment boasts a spacious balcony or terrace with stunning sea views, where guests love to relax and enjoy the sunsets.To get to the apartment you will have to climb 20 stairs.The apartments include two bedrooms with double beds, a sofa bed in the living room for a fifth guest, two bathrooms with showers, and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, and dishwasher. A cozy dining area and living room open onto the balcony, offering the perfect space to unwind.Just a minute’s walk away, our family-run restaurant "Ogigija" sits by the sea. Since 1974, we’ve been serving Mediterranean dishes made with fresh ingredients, and we take pride in the joy of our satisfied guests. Enjoy a meal by the water as you savor the warm summer evenings.Beach Paljevina is short 7 minute walk from the property and grocery store is in the other way, just 4 minute walk.

    Mljet, the southernmost Adriatic island in Dalmatia, is renowned for its lush greenery, crystal-clear waters, and sandy shores. Its National Park, located on the western side, covers 54 km² and offers scenic walking and cycling trails, ancient ruins, and saltwater lakes, with entrances in Polače and Pomena.Pomena, Polače, and Sobra are the island’s main villages, offering supermarkets, restaurants, ATMs, and travel services. Polače is a popular spot for sailors, with several eateries, bike rentals, and ancient Roman ruins, including a 5th-century palace, one of the largest Roman structures in Dalmatia. Regular ferry connections link Mljet to Dubrovnik, Korčula, and the Pelješac Peninsula.

Great place! Very comfortable beds, extremely clean. We had a problem with wifi and they didn't respond to messages but the issue resolved itself.

Special place!

Polace is so beautiful and close to the national park. We rented e-bikes from Aloha bikes and biked around the lakes in the park. Jelena’s place was the perfect location for exploring. The view was stunning and the apartment had everything we needed. Highly recommend and hope to be coming back soon!

Admirable and clean accommodation!

Fantastic apartment in absolutely beautiful location. Spent many hours watching the activity in the harbour from the balcony and the apartment was a cool refuge from our many active hours out in the blazing sun. Sandra, who lives beneath in apt 1, was extremely helpful and welcoming. Would love to visit again.

Admirable and clean accommodation!

Jelena was very helpful and communicative and provided some good local advice in advance. The hosts, Sandra and Djivo live downstairs and were great too and had good local information. The accomodation was spot on, great location and facilities, clean and well equipped. We loved the tranquility and were able to walk and explore straight from the door. Will hopefully return for a longer stay.

Lovely and comfortable place for stay!

Amazing location, view, and apartment. Everything is updated and clean and the hosts were responsive, welcoming, and nice. They even gifted me a bottle of wine, let us check out late, and mailed me my sweaters that I forgot in my room! 6 stars!

Major-league holiday!

Pasamos dos noches en Polace,pueblo precioso donde está ubicada la casa, a unos 25 minutos andando del Parque Natural de Mljet,nos hemos enamorado de esta isla. La casa está superlimpia y bien equipadasen primera línea de costa,con una terraza para admirar el Mar Adriático,un lugar perfecto para disfrutar del silencio y la tranquilidad. La dueña es encantadora y súper amable,nos dejó aceite para cocinar la última noche.Sin duda si volvemos nos alojaremos de nuevo allí.

Admirable and clean accommodation!

If you're considering staying on the island of Mljet, the village of Polače is a great base for all kinds of activities. The village has a number of restaurants, a bakery, a grocery as well as several bicycle rental options - all within short walking distance from this apartment. The national park is literally at the doorstep as well. The apartment is up a long flight of stairs, but it's worth it for the views from the balcony: we sat and watched boats glide in and out of the harbor all day. The apartment is clean and modern, boasting two separate bedrooms (each with their own toilet & shower), a generous living/dining area and a kitchen. The hosts were kind and communicative, even welcomed us with a bottle of local wine. It was so quiet & peaceful, I could have stayed much longer!

Glorious residence!

The location is excellent if you like to live next to the oceans and trekking in the forest. The village is small and quiet, and the ocean right in front of the house. The road in front of the house is small and only used by locals who drive slowly, so it is not disturbing. There is a small grocery store and a bakery in the village, and several restaurants. If you prefer cooking your own meals be aware the grocery store is very small, and the apartment not well equipped for making larger meals (like no sharp knife for cutting vegetables and only 2 hubs working). Another idea for improvements is pillows for the outdoor chairs. But we loved the place for the quiet location, and proximity to both the ocean, natural park and lakes.

Nice Place , Just misleading location

Host is nice, location is also nice. The location shown on the listing was Pomena. The actual place is in Polace, hour walk or ten minute drive away. Pomena is where we wanted to be, so no car required. I had no car and spent hundreds of dollars on taxi because of this. Unfortunate that they lied about the location. Will not be doing any business thru Slavica in the future, will also share with my NY friends.
