"An excellent location, and a wonderful pool. Good price, and a small, cute place. What was not so good, was our experience checking in. We had booked a garden room, but apparently these were "fully booked", and we were given a lesser room with a street view (a noisy street). We tried to explain that this was not what we booked, but they insisted it was the same, and that the two garden rooms were not available. We could switch the next day. That was fine, but we did not want to pay full price...

"I loved my stay here, as the room was spacious and clean. The bed was super-comfy, with a medium-hard mattress. Slept SOOOOO well. Get the breakfast to start your day well - fruit plate, Sri Lankan omelette, coffee, tea, juice. The staff speak moderate English, and will make every attempt to ensure your stay is comfortable. Although this establishment is located well Google Maps is NOT to be trusted! Maps will take you to a location over the nearby creek (which stinks during the day)....

"Mirissa is a popular area 3 hrs south of Colombo airport. Bed was comfortable. The property was down a narrow alley on a rocky no swim beach. The pool was green, in need of a good cleaning and Chem treatment. The towel rack in our room was broken and the shower pressure was 2/10. The staff were pleasant but ill equipped. For the price we expected much more."

"It's an OK hotel, maybe a 6/10 for the price it cost there are better in the area. If it would have been cheaper i could say 7/10. The rooms are of good size and balconies are huge. But the rooms are quite dated. The biggest problem for us was that the bathroom has fans connected to the outside, that were not working which made the bathroom full of mosquitos. If this would be fixed and maybe rooms better cleaned and touched upp it for sure could be a 8/10 stay because the service of the hotel...

"The staff was amazing the chef made some of the best food I have ever tasted!! He was very sweet and very involved in all aspects of the villas. The curry was out of this world as well as the pasta 10 out of 10 all around. The room was large and beautiful, you felt like you had the place to yourself very highly recommend!!!"

"Just an absolutely awful hotel. Do not be fooled by the photos, they are from around a decade ago. Everything is old, broken, full of ants and dead flies, the showers have no doors, the pool looks like a horror film. Some other guests had a party until 5am and when we tried to find a member of staff to complain to there was no-one all night. And then they claimed the next morning there was no party. "Loved this hotel, great location just far enough away from the very touristy Mirissa Beach. Easy walk or tuk tuk to town. Pool was small but clean & great after a day sightseeing in Galle. Very close to Turtle Beach. Lovely eateries nearby....would recommend restaurant 101, only a few minutes walk away. Would definitely stay here again if in the area."
