This WATERFRONT home offers the perfect location to enjoy everything LAKE ANNA has to offer. Blue herons swoop and fish jump throughout the protected, deep-water cove, perfect for kayaks and canoes. For your paddling pleasure, enjoy the cove or main lake with the two kayaks . If you want a slower pace, the pedal boat is perfect.

The gentle slope from the house to water's edge guarantees that guests of all ages can enjoy the waterfront and dock. Watch the kids play in the sandbox or swim in the semi-enclosed area close to the bank, or enjoy the deep water from the end of the dock.

Marvel at the huge master bedroom and bath with a private balcony lakeside. The third bedroom has its own lakeside balcony as well. Three bedrooms and two baths upstairs are complimented by two pullout couches and a full bath on the main floor.

Enjoy visits with family and friends in the open concept first floor that extends to a wide deck, patio and fire pit close to water's edge. The WiFi, pool table, satellite TV, games, DVDs and books offer something for everyone.

You’ll notice that Blue Skies at Lake Anna does not offer a discount for a week-long booking. Discounts cost you more because VRBO commission is charged on the pre-discounted price, so I’ve reduced the cost for mid-week dates, which gives you the same price for seven days as if I offered you a discount on the week. Winning!!!

Now, back to the lake: Lake Anna is the second largest lake located entirely in Virginia. It encompasses 250 miles of shoreline and 13,000 acres of water. The lake is 17 miles long and surrounded by farms and forest.

Lake Anna has 2 sections, the main or public side and the private side. The public section consists of 9,600 acres with marinas, restaurants and commercial business. The private side is divided by 3 rock dikes and consists of 3,400 acres. There are no public boat ramps, marinas or restaurants on the private side; only homes adorn the shoreline.

Blue Skies at Lake Anna is located mid-lake on the public side, close to restaurants, marinas, Lake Anna State Park and other attractions by either boat or car.

Attractions: Lake Anna is perfect for boating, jet-skiing, fishing and water activities, but there are many other activities to enjoy while visiting this area. Some attractions include hiking trails at Lake Anna State Park, wineries (Lake Anna Winery, Mattaponi Winery, Cooper Vineyards, Weston Farms and more), Kings Dominion Theme Park, Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's Home), Montpelier (James & Dolly Madison's Home), Civil War battlefields, Bluemont Concerts and Dances, Fridays After Five, the Mineral Bluegrass Festival, fine dining, shopping and more. Lake Anna is located close to Fredericksburg, Richmond and Charlottesville. Blue Skies at Lake Anna is owned by a local who can offer you suggestions to round out your vacation itinerary.

About the pricing: Service fee is a VRBO fee and cannot be adjusted by the Host. Host fee is cleaning and a single pet fee, if applicable. If more than one dog is approved, additional pet fee is required.

We had a great time at Blue Skies! The house was perfect for our family. It was very clean and it had everything you needed. We will definitely be back again. Kate was very prompt and friendly and great to work with!

Blue Skies had everything we needed for a great stay. We loved taking the kayaks out on the lake and the fishing off the dock was great. The cove location was peaceful with a lovely wooded area across the cove, yet close to the larger lake area. When we were inside the house we had wonderful views of the lake. The dock lounge chairs were awesome for a relaxing afternoon reading on the dock or taking a nap. We also enjoyed campfires in the fire pit and playing pool on the very nice pool table. If we return to Lake Anna we would definitely stay again.

Great Location - Best Vaca in a long time!

The private water access is the best I've seen at any house in Lake Anna. Great location to kayak. The dock was perfect for fishing and jumping off! The fishing was great too. Lots of catfish and sun perch. The house was just perfect. Spacious rooms and lots of places to get out of the heat. the yard was great for the pup to play frisbee and chase some wildlife. Highly recommend.

Thanksgiving on the Lake

We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving on the lake. We were provided a roasting pan for our turkey! How much more could you ask for? The view was incredible, and we enjoyed the deer, squirrels, and chipmunks.

Clean home perfect for a large family

We had a great time inside and outside this home. The cove was quiet, the dock and the outdoor amenities including the kayaks, paddle boat, and fire pit were a plus. Inside the home was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with supplies needed for cooking all of our meals, and we loved having the pool table! I really appreciate being able to have all of our family dogs with us. We didn't need to use all the supplied linens, but having them available was a benefit. What we did use of the linens we appreciated the quality and the extra towels for the dogs as well! This home was far enough away for peace and quiet, but close enough to needed stores like the grocery store or convenience stores. Would definitely stay again if we return to Lake Anna.

Nice getaway

Our stay was great. The house is positioned close to the lake. The beach area and slope into the lake was perfect for the dog and kids yo be able to splash around. One of the kayaks had a small crack and Kate quickly had a replacement there the same day. The neighborhood is very quiet and felt like we were the only ones there and had the cove to ourselves most days.

The property was amazing! Beautiful house with direct access to the gorgeous Lake. We took advantage of the Kayaks to get up close with nature and relaxed at night with a bonfire. We can’t wait to go back!!!

Perfect family vacation anytime of year on Lake Anna

Our extended family had a fantastic Thanksgiving at this beautiful home on Lake Anna… lovely dock, kayaks, a fire pit, a beautiful huge kitchen that was fully stocked, beautiful, bright bedrooms and a pool table!!! all-around lovely vacation home… Kate was a fantastic hostess totally available! And to top it all off it is dog friendly!!!

Absolutely wonderful

Took my husband for his birthday to fish. He had an awesome time catching catfish. The house was amazing and it was clean and spotless. Never stayed in a rental so clean. Kate was a great hostess and provided outstanding information before our arrival. Being disabled, getting to the dock was a breeze for me as I was able to ride my scooter to the dock and enjoy fishing as well. This is the best place we have rented in a long time and I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you Kate for allowing us to stay at your home. Looking forward to a return visit.

Bella’s Last Hoorah!

What a wonderful long weekend. Our beloved old dog is not doing well, she still loves the water. The owner was amazing and accommodating. Bella came out of her “uncle’s” truck and straight into the lake! She was so pooped each night but she had an amazing time with a walk in beach and sand to lay in, things to sniff everywhere. Our 1 year old granddaughter LOVED it as well. What a blast.

Lakeside getaway

From the moment we contacted the owner, this rental was 5 stars! Everything was easy from the quick owner response to the final checkout list. The house was very clean with a beautiful kitchen that overlooks the lake, spacious bedrooms with linens provided and a large master bath. Views are amazing and the dock is only a short, flat walk from the house. The internet worked well the whole time we were there! It was a wonderful getaway.

Great, Safe Getaway

We were looking for a few days away with a nice view. Blue Skies did not disappoint. Kate was great to work with through the entire process. House was clean, well stocked, and provided a fantastic long weekend of fishing off the deck, firepit, billiards, and general relaxation. Convenient to Lake Anna State Park for a hike and we ventured out to a couple local restaurants.

Excellent waterfront location

We were a party of 7. Adults, kids and a dog. This place is outstanding in many aspects. First off, it’s location on the water. It’s on a perfect no wake cove. If jumping into the lake is your thing, you can do this all day long. The kids literally did it all day long. House was clean and adequate to serve the needs of Our party. Property manager is responsive.
