  • Welcome to Dawn’s Cottage! An adorable and comfortable cottage just steps from the beach. This two-bed, two-bath, free-standing home in a private setting sleeps 6 and is your perfect getaway for peace and relaxation. Dawn's Cottage is located on popular Broadkill Beach - a charming place to relax, unwind, and renew. The space is simple and serene, yet has everything one needs.

    The Space:
    Dawn's Cottage is located on the south side of Broadkill Beach, about 20 minutes from Lewes, DE. The cottage boasts an open living concept and is filled with lots of natural light from the large front windows. Located in the living room is a queen-size sleeper sofa. There is a smart TV that provides live streaming from Fubo (feel free to log into your own apps as well). There is a full-size, fully equipped kitchen with many amenities to enjoy a home-cooked meal.

    The hall bath features a shower/tub combo with hand towels included. The master bath features a stall shower and also includes hand towels. It is located inside the master bedroom to provide additional privacy. The master bedroom also features a walk-in closet with a dresser and extra blankets/pillows.

    The outdoor ground space features two ceiling fans and a picnic table that seats 6, that makes a perfect entertainment space.

    Guest Access:
    The properties use key-code electronic locks. You will be sent the code about 3 days before check-in. This code is only valid from check-in to check-out.

    - Sheets and Towels are NOT provided
    - The state of Delaware has issued a statewide plastic bag ban. Retail stores no longer offer plastic bags at checkout. Please ensure you bring a bag, should you need one.

Property was lovely and a short walk to the beach. The dogs had the best time except for the briars they accumulated in their fur walking through the dunes. It was a short stay but very accommodating. The weather was perfect which made the stay even better.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Dawn’s Cottage! The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Gina was super responsive and accommodating. The location was perfect — just a short walk to the beach — and our pups had the best time running and playing in the sand. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay was a great experience. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Gina was very easy to contact and the check-in process was very easy. The location is convenient and it’s only steps from the beach. The outdoor shower and hose were also great features! Beautiful Mother’s Day Weekend Stay

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic! The location was beautiful and quiet and just a quick walk to the beach. The house was very clean upon our arrival. The host was a great communicator and answered messages quickly. We loved that we could bring our dog. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Amazing!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The house was extremely clean. I have a crawling baby on the floor so, I was thankful! Beach access was close, area was quiet. Streets are walkable. Donuts at the local Broadkill store made our stay extra sweet. I will definitely book again.

A lovely getaway

Our time at the cottage was peaceful and relaxing. It was very clean and well organized. The beach was soothing to my soul and the kids loved collecting shells and watching the crabs!

Relaxing and quiet getaway

Dawn's Cottage was perfect!! We were looking for a quiet beach neighborhood between Frederica and Rehobeth and it absolutely fit the bill. One road in and out and nestled between some marsh and the ocean, everything was clean and neat, the space was roomy and had all the amenities we needed, and communication was just about instantaneous. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for the same.

Perfect Getaway!

Dawn's Cottage is absolutely adorable and the perfect place to decompress, relax, and celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. Loved the remote location and beach access, yet still easy to get to Lewes & Rehoboth. We enjoyed trying out some of the hot spots in the helpful binder of local restaurants and attractions. Thanks Gina and Rodney for being such great hosts!

Broadkill Beach Delight

This property is clean, well-managed and very close to the beach. It’s our second time at this property and our third year staying with the same host. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet place close to the beach. I’m sure we’ll be back again!

Awesome stay in July!

Amazing location. I was pleasantly surprised with Broadkill beach. You do have to prepare yourself for the bugs, but we knew that going in. Would definitely come here again.
